Restaurant Le Serac sur Saint-Gervais-Les-Bains

In this region, there's good value for money; I really enjoy coming here for the sweetbreads.

This is a cut above anything else in St Gervais from a culinary perspective. The ambience is a tiny bit lacking but is compensated for by the very warm and attentive service (although one waiter was an insy-bit over familiar and jokey around us for our taste). The food is fabulous and they are incredibly well organised around allergies/sensitivities, with a clear list of which dishes include what allergen. They were kind enough to prepare for me (unasked) a small side of risotto as I couldn’t eat the potatoes cooked in cream. Their chocolate desert isn’t up to the standard of the rest of the menu in my view but their soufflé is to die for. The only thing is that the menu hasn’t changed at all in the last 3 months and it is now getting a bit samey after the 3rd visit. But I guess that says it all!!

I had a wonderful time at Le Sérac over dinner. The menu was excellent and the service was perfect in a pleasant setting. I highly recommend this restaurant.

It must be 5 years since I visited Le Serac having owned an apartment in St Gervais until then. Back here again skiing and it was nice to be recognised after all this time. Everything remains the same. Excellent food on all plates, a wonderful wine list and very good service from familiar staff. For those who find it difficult to hear amongst background noise, the acoustics are perfect and the ambiance as a whole, very calming

I hadn't been back to Le Sérac for a few months, and I must say that this visit confirms that Le Sérac is one of the best restaurants (if not the best) in Saint-Gervais. The inventiveness of the dishes, the mastery of the cooking, the beauty of the presentation—honestly, everything was perfect, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

A lovely spot nestled in the heart of Saint-Gervais. Reasonable prices and impeccable quality. The bistro is also worth a visit.
