Le Tertre was a wonderful discovery for us in Saint-Émilion. We opted for the set lunch menu and were delighted from start to finish. Even the appetizer was outstanding. Fresh, summery flavors, beautifully balanced and presented with great care. My personal highlight was the grilled Atlantic octopus. Perfectly cooked, beautifully roasted on the outside and wonderfully tender on the inside. It was accompanied by a variety of vegetables, rich sauces, and delicate flavors. A truly magnificent dish. The main course, featuring mussels and summer vegetables, was also excellent. It was clear that high-quality ingredients are used and that the kitchen pays meticulous attention to detail. To finish, we sampled both the dessert and the cheese selection. Again, there was nothing to criticize. The selection of aged French cheeses was a particularly lovely way to conclude the meal. At €54, the set lunch menu offers, in my opinion, excellent value for money. The quality of the food far exceeds what one would expect at this price. The service was exceptionally pleasant, and the atmosphere was relaxed. We felt completely at ease. For us, Le Tertre was one of those restaurants where everything just came together perfectly: the cuisine, the ingredients, the presentation, the service, and the price. A definite recommendation in Saint-Émilion. We would definitely return.
