Restaurant Racine sur Lectoure

Restaurant with a cool modern setting in Lectoure. Had a good meal, but nothing outstanding. The turbot was perhaps slightly overcooked, and some extra garden herbs would have been welcome. Service by a spirited Madame and a nice, candid, energetic young man (a charming prince); likeable chef (nice chat about Belgian roots). Value for money, perhaps just a little too expensive.

Delicious food and excellent wines. I can taste the Franco-Belgian touch 🥰

Refined cuisine, deceptively simple. The octopus broth was truly exceptional. The setting and decor are very tasteful.

Good food, a bit pricey, but the manager is about as friendly as a shovel.

Inventiveness in the design of the dishes, perfect welcome and service, a calm and bright place.

Racinette is a delightful restaurant. We had a delicious lunch there today and the staff are terrific. Only one quibble: a dish was ordered with a request to remove an ingredient that the very personable woman taking our order said was not a problem. The dish arrived still with the ingredient . We didn’t bother to ask to have it changed because it was merely a preference, but it could have been serious if it had been an allergy question. We will return with pleasure.

Overall, a very pleasant experience, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The only downside was the seasoning, which was lacking in most of the dishes. The starter, consisting of marinated sea bass fillets, was very bland. The "white wine" marinade was sorely lacking in flavor and seasoning, making the dish rather disappointing and flat. The chuck roast, on the other hand, was very flavorful, tender, and well-prepared. It's a shame, however, that the side dishes also lacked seasoning.

Excellent food and friendly service. Highly recommend if you are visiting Lectoure especially after a morning hiking on the GR65. Good idea to book ahead.

The food is excellent and creative. The service is perfect. One of the best places to eat in the Gers.
