Satsuki sur Chamonix-Mont-Blanc

The prices are reasonable and not too expensive. I believe the taste is the best in both Korea and Japan (the salmon was incredibly fresh, and the udon broth was truly top-notch). We visited for two consecutive days; on the first day, we ordered the lunch set menu available only on weekdays, and on the second day, since it was a holiday, we ordered à la carte because the set menu wasn't available. However, one regrettable aspect was that our food was delayed due to a large group of Japanese tourists, making it a close call to catch our bus. We arrived at 12:00 PM, and our schedule required us to leave the restaurant at 12:40 PM. We arrived and ordered at 11:55 AM, while the Japanese group arrived at 12:05 PM and continued serving their pre-prepared set menus. We ordered two simple à la carte dishes, but they didn't serve us until 12:20 PM—after the course meals for about 10 Japanese tourists had already been served. We complained, and only then did they tell us to wait, finally bringing our food after 12:25 PM. I understand that there are extenuating circumstances, including our own personal time constraints, but regardless, I did not feel considered in terms of attitude and response (compared to Japanese staff). Both the server and the cook are Japanese. That was a bit disappointing.

I had lunch on the tour. This review is based on not knowing the price. I had chilled chawanmushi (steamed egg custard), grilled salmon set meal, and melon, and since it was Japanese-owned, it was satisfying Japanese food.

A no-frills sushi restaurant in Chamonix. Satsuki doesn't reinvent the wheel, but it does it well, with reasonable prices. Slightly removed from the town center, its location is just right to avoid the hustle and bustle of the crowds you might find downtown.

This is a place I make sure to visit at least twice whenever I go to Chamonix. The udon, fried dishes, and skewers are all delicious. I haven't tried the maki rolls myself, so I can't comment on them, but many people order them. Since both foreigners and Asians visit, it is recommended to make a reservation as you pass by or call to schedule an appointment. Everyone on staff is very friendly.

Delicious food and excellent service! We enjoyed the salmon rice bowl, udon, and the kids’ sushi set. Everything was fresh and tasty, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Highly recommend this place.
