I came for the second time today for my sister's wedding. The welcome was absolutely fantastic and I had a wonderful time... everything was perfect and the Flemish carbonnade is truly excellent, the best in the world! 😁

I finally had the chance to visit this highly regarded establishment, about which I'd been hearing positive things for years. Let's start with the setting: beautiful, well-decorated, and ideally located. Both the dining room and the terrace are stunning. The service was impeccable—attentive, efficient, and not at all intrusive. The tableware and service (with cutlery) also contributed to the experience. Now, let's talk about the food. The starters featured some more unusual but successful choices. A classic that truly deserves its reputation; a world-class dish, you can taste the quality. The desserts were all mouthwatering; the revisited strawberry charlotte was a definite winner.

I rarely order carbonnade in restaurants because I love my own recipe and am sometimes disappointed when I try it elsewhere. Given Monsieur Leplat's reputation, I decided to give it a go. And I think it's safe to say it's truly the best carbonnade in the world 😊 The balance of all the ingredients gives this carefully crafted recipe an exceptional character with a subtle interplay of flavors. I can't wait to go back!
