Excellent pastries. But they're so slow! Ugh. 20 minutes to serve 3 people...

I give the Black Forest cake for 6 people 5 stars. The quality of the execution and the overall lightness were excellent! Perhaps we would have liked a slightly stronger taste of the liqueur, as it was lacking; this is the only slight drawback, as there were no children at the table, which would have been a good thing in this case. In any case, I would recommend it without hesitation.

As someone from the Landes region, I've tasted kouglof in many Alsatian bakeries, and this is where they are the best… I recommend it 100%, even more!

I've always been delighted by purchases from Pâtisserie Schaffer. I've never been disappointed. Just to name a few: the iconic Honeycomb Cake...or their delicious Yule logs...so many other wonderful cakes and pastries...and let's not forget the vacherins and other frozen desserts! It's well worth the trip! I always find something to tantalize my taste buds... Recently, I tasted a chestnut tart, a true delight, worthy of the name! Congratulations! I'd also like to say a few words about the customer service, especially during the Christmas season or in the summer...couldn't they be a little more patient or understanding? The owner is a very pleasant person; we all have days when we're more stressed, and she handles things perfectly, even with the shop being so busy! Regarding everyone's opinions, let's talk about these young apprentices...take a little walk around and observe others in different places...the nonchalance of these young people is all the rage these days! Managing them must be nerve-wracking!! Also, observe the welcome given to customers in other shops, pastry shops, and bakeries in Obernai...you'll gladly return to Schaeffer for their delicious (and beautiful!) pastries, viennoiseries, ice cream...and the warm welcome! It's easy to criticize, but we can also highlight what's appealing and positive...

The desserts were delicious and everything was incredibly fresh. The presentation was lovely and the atmosphere was pleasant. The staff were friendly and attentive. We had a wonderful time enjoying a coffee. 🍰☕

Hello to all the staff, best wishes for 2026, from Pascale and her family. During a visit in early January, I bought two galettes des rois (king cakes), one apple and one frangipane. The beautiful cakes in the display case are tempting, but unfortunately, they're disappointing as soon as you taste them. I'm giving them 3 stars because they're not bad, but absolutely nothing exceptional.

I give the pastry chef(s) 6 stars! I'm taking one off for the welcome and the service, which is always a bit curt... admittedly, they're a little behind schedule at this time of year, but even outside of Christmas, I always dread the initial reception... Fortunately, the pastries are famous and impeccable. I just wanted to say, because I apply this to myself, that things don't go any faster when you're being blunt. At least show a little empathy when they're out, because right now you almost feel like you're being criticized for ordering them when they're out of Black Forest cake... Again, congratulations to the pastry chefs, I'll still be back because there's no better place! 🤪😄
