Great experience during our visit with friends this August 15th in the evening. Fast and very professional service, the fondue is a treat. The servers are very courteous and professional with a special mention for Quentin for his very warm welcome and his kindness.

The place is original in itself with the entrance corridor where skis of all ages are displayed in a window. Large room both modern and with a Savoyard atmosphere. Large selection of fondues which allows a useful spread of prices. The very good basic fondue is 25 euros per person which is reasonable when you see the astronomical prices charged in certain places.

This is the 2nd time we have come in a week and we recommend you 1000%. We tasted the excellent Savoyard fondue la plancha. Speed ​​of service, very good quality meat and the same for the cheese. A big thank you to Yann for his kindness, professionalism and the special attention he has for customers! We will come back to taste the other dishes 😃

15/09/2024: Very good Savoyard fondue! Very fast service and very friendly servers. The best thing about being open out of season too 🙏🏻
08/09/2024: Weekend in Val d'Isère at the hotel of the same name. A short tour of the city for dinner, we were recommended this establishment with its nice decor and equally friendly waiter. We chose a Burger and a medium steak. These two dishes were edible with very poor value for money. At first glance, the dish seems appetizing, one might have believed it given the price (31 euros), but we were far from it. Entrecôte overcooked, too hard (photo) half remained on the plate. Ok we are in Val d'Isère, OK it was practically the only restaurant open, OK the customers are 95% passing through and who like me are perhaps ready to pay the price... But at least it has to be worth it. I was disappointed with this experience...

Restaurant Le Barillon

06/04/2025: First the negative things: I think the only negative in that I gets quite warm inside. Positive things: The raclette was really delicious,the charcuterie as well and the menu had many different options, including a child-menu. The staff was really lovely too. They also have a bar with a terrace upstairs, which uses the raclette cheese if unfinished!
23/03/2025: First time to have dinner here and we had the most wonderful, locally authentic meal. Onion soup and Pierrade au Boeuf, the meat was simply delicious. Service was excellent and friendly, atmosphere was lovely. Highly recommend.
