An insider tip in Bonifacio, very hidden, but absolutely recommended!
We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. After a quick look at the menu, we sat down at a table outside. The atmosphere was super nice, everything was super simple, but very pleasant.
Since we're vegetarian, they recommended a veggie burger and the aubergines à la bonifacienne.
We had no idea what this eggplant dish was, so we were in for a surprise. It was four small balls that were super, super delicate and spicy. They came with a fresh salad, a delicious, delicious baked potato, and a delicious tomato sauce with the balls inside.
The veggie burger with the delicious vegetable patty and spicy sheep/goat cheese was also excellent.
Highly recommended restaurant!!
What a pleasant surprise as we wandered through the streets of Bonifacio looking for a restaurant!
Despite the late hour, you were accepted, which isn't the case everywhere.
The welcome was very friendly and you were warmly received. The dishes were not only plentiful, but also excellent. Even on vacation, it seems essential to me to leave the restaurant feeling full!
I thoroughly enjoyed a beautiful sea bream whose fillets had been removed. There were few bones. A succulent sauce accompanied it. I'm drooling just thinking about it.
I highly recommend it.
We were strolling through the narrow streets of Bonifacio and only stumbled upon the restaurant by chance. Somewhere in the courtyard. 🤭
Our first thought: This is what Mediterranean looks like 🥰
Small and cramped, though. But we were hungry, so we were assigned one of the few remaining free tables.
Communication in English was quite good. There was also a menu in English.
The food was very tasty and, considering the really small kitchen and the number of guests, came to the table fairly quickly.
When paying, we were a bit shocked to find that only cash payments were accepted. Not entirely contemporary, but...that's just how it is.
Guests at the neighboring table had to first search for an ATM.
Prices are moderate and reasonable.
The only drawback is the bathroom facilities...or rather, the only toilet. Small would be even bigger. Tiny is a better description.
🙈🙈🙈
Conclusion: We were very impressed (except for the toilet)
