The food is typically Japanese, a one-way ticket without the 15-hour flight to an izakaya that would have tripled its prices after converting from yen. Frankly, it's a bargain for a slice of Japan served directly on your plate. The sake menu, with its enticing kanji, is perfect for forgetting the melancholy of being so far from the bowing deer and the welcoming irashaimase that greet you as you push open the door of Osaka's pubs.
