Sushikita sur Saumur

Finally a real Japanese restaurant! The sushi is delicious and above all made by a real sushi chef. Clearly the best sushi I have eaten. The service is excellent and the owners are very friendly. It is worth the detour to Saumur.

Japanese restaurant 🍣with very good quality sushi 🍣and a beautiful presentation. On the other hand, not many tables if you want to eat there. It offers takeaway sales. Very nice home. I recommend this restaurant in Saumur.

Perplexed 🤔 Very good product and above all fresh but for my taste not enough choice on the menu. By choice I mean the possibility of being able to taste several elements and not 6 eel sushi or 6 tuna maki or 4 salmon nigiri, I would have liked to have 2 tuna, 2 salmon, 2 avocados....... A wider choice flavors in one plate

Very small restaurant with very few tables. About eight places and as many in the cellar.... That's where we were at noon. It's not the best place when it's nice outside. At the same time we avoid cooking smells... Welcome without more... Good food and decent price but we were missing something to enjoy our meal.... Mixed feeling....

I enjoyed my food although the sushi is not what you would expect in a major urban center. The chef is creating some great flavors and I respect him for that, but in order to do that he is cleverly using ingredients that don't need to be fresh. Don't expect fresh fish. The miso was delicious and welcome as was the wakame. I was mystified and seriously impressed to come across tiny baby shiso leaves artfully placed on the nigiri sushi. The service is unbelievably poor. It took almost 40 minutes to get a beer in front of me, and I was the only customer in the restaurant for most of those 40 minutes. When my beer did arrive, everything that I had ordered arrived with it. In other words the soup did not come first, the wakame did not come first. Everything came at the same time and was dumped in front of me. I would have ordered more sushi, and another beer, but after waiting half an hour to try to order, I gave up. If you have the tiniest tendency toward impatience this probably isn't your best bet.

Having visited dozens of Japanese restaurants, this one is clearly a cut above! The lightly marinated sushi is killer, and everything else is up to par, the dishes enhanced with small touches of herbs and condiments as decorative as they are excellent, there is a real search for quality! Vaulted room in the basement which adds intimacy and curiosity. To discover !
