Best meal we got in Chamonix!! Perfect portion sizes and the food is delicious. The seafood ramen has tons of good seafood and great value too. Gyoza are also delicious! Lovely owner / chef and the waiters are great. Highly recommend

The decor is calm and soothing despite some ill-mannered tourists making noise. For example, the place is so small that a crying baby is not a good idea.

A perfect little break from skiing. They were very accommodating with our dietary needs and let us stay as long as we liked, even though they were quite full for lunch. The genmaicha tea was especially good!

1. Overall Atmosphere and Operation
The atmosphere is very casual.
There is outdoor seating, but it's more of a waiting area than a dining area.
The seating is located in the basement, and it's very small, so if you want to sit at a table for two or more, reservations are required.
Please note that only takeout is available about an hour before closing.
2. Food
We ordered the Miso Tamago Ramen.
It's a bit sweeter than the typical Japanese or Korean ramen, but it wasn't bad.
You can think of it as more geared towards foreign palates (Europeans, Americans, etc.).

I went there because I was craving soup, and it was delicious. Of all the Asian food I had in France, it was the closest to authentic. Since I went a little before dinner time, there was no wait, and the food came out quickly, which was nice.

We had a wonderful meal!! 🍜
It's always a real pleasure to eat at Tanpopo. Ramen for every taste: veggie, seafood, pork… you're sure to find something you love!
The dishes are prepared with love by a charming gentleman, always smiling and welcoming.
My partner and I have been coming regularly for almost three years now, and the quality is always excellent. A comforting spot that we wholeheartedly recommend in Chamonix!

Nothing to write home about. Small place with a nice vibe but really slow service and the ramen is par for the course. The waiter was quick but we waited close to 50 minutes before the appetizers were served. If you decide to try it out I recommend making a reservation as the place can only accommodate a small number of guests.
