The Auld Alliance Pub sur Paris

Been meaning to pop in here for years. Paris is full of Irish pubs (just like every city around the world), but there are very few Scottish pubs, and I suspect this is the only one in Paris! The French and the Scotts have a long history, and a shared dislike of the English, so it's seems a perfect fit. Popped in today and it was as you'd expect, a little taste of Scotland in the heart of the City of Light. Football blasting from every TV, a crowd of fans shouting abuse and cheers at said screens, a game of darts in the corner, people having a laugh and some bloody good beer. This is not a Paris bistro or hipster wine bar, but I assume you know that already. Order a pint, watch a game and have a chat. What more can I tell you. Sadly we only had one beer, other events were calling us... 🍻🍻🍻 BTW, it's cheap 👍

A pub where it's always a pleasure to enjoy a good pint thanks to the warm welcome, the atmosphere, and the authentic character.

A real Scottish pub right in the heart of Paris. A good selection of beers and whiskies. But it's often packed. And, even if they are sometimes from the UK, the waitresses and waiters have all the characteristics of the stereotypical Parisian waiter: both professional and not very friendly.

I've been here a couple of times to watch a game. The place is a classic English pub with a friendly, light-hearted atmosphere. It's popular with Paris's English-speaking community. If I stayed here, everything would be fine. The problem is the games, which is the main reason I came here. The goals shown are of terrible quality; the picture is jerky, interrupted, and frozen, especially on passes or dribbles. Then the images become blurry, like when you watch games on pirate channels. In short, it's a shame because the people who work there and frequent it are really nice!

2.5 hours to kill in paris before train. Quick Google to find a place to play darts. Walked 30 minutes to arrive in a typical pub with 5€ happy hour pints. Only english speaking people and manager. He lent me his darts. Played an hour. Best place in Paris ever. Thanks again

The place is very nice, the beer is pretty good, and the staff are welcoming, but the food really needs improvement: not only is it expensive, but it's also incredibly bland. Whether it's the haggis, the fried chicken, the Scotch egg, the nachos (special mention to the cold liquid cheddar—doesn't that sound appealing?), or even the fries (you have to be kidding me...), it's not "bad," but it's not "good" either, even after downing four pints! And if the price were right, at least there would be some decent portions, but even the servings are ridiculously small. Simply put, I'd happily go back to this bar because the atmosphere is nice, but I'll never order food here again because it's really not worth it. What a shame!

Don’t order a Guinness (if you know, you know)! Otherwise it’s fun spot, cozy feeling, nice people, and decent food.

Love this pub, love the bartenders, and especially love the fries. Great atmosphere, and will keep going here for ages!
