Beautiful English pub setting. Very warm welcome. Quick and friendly service. Good food overall, with two minor issues: first, the fries (probably pre-cut and vacuum-packed) were mealy and not crispy enough. Second, the tarte tatin, homemade and tasty, was reheated in the microwave, which made the pastry soggy and ruined the dessert. Otherwise, nothing to complain about; overall, we were satisfied and will probably return.

Good menu, fast friendly service and fair prices. Recommended!

Lunch with colleagues. Friendly staff, good atmosphere. The salads are good, and so is the daily special.

Very good beer, decent mussels with Maroilles cheese, and homemade desserts. A good place to eat.

A comfortable stop for food and drinks while shopping 🍺 We stopped at The Black Bull Pub while visiting the shopping centre and looking for somewhere comfortable to eat, and it turned out to be a good choice. The menu offered a solid mix of options, and everything we tried was enjoyable and well prepared. Drinks were fine, prices felt reasonable, and the overall pace of the visit was relaxed rather than rushed. The interior was comfortable and worked well as a place to sit down properly for a break from shopping. At the time we visited, it was relatively quiet, which added to the ease of the experience. Service was friendly, and it helped that staff could speak English, which made ordering straightforward. Facilities were clean and in good condition. Overall, it worked well as a place to stop for lunch or drinks during a shopping trip, and it’s somewhere I’d be happy to return to on a future visit.
