The Chip Shop sur Confolens

Had a lovely lunch with friends. I had scampi and the rest of us had cod and chips, salad, mushy peas and curry sauce. Thick pieces of fish with lovely crispy batter. They even do gluten free batter. Even the salad dressing comes out in its own little pot. Would fully recommend and would come back again.

It has taken me a while for this revisit. But omg fabulous again. I chose Haddock, my husband the scampi, and sister the cod. Served with home made chips, side salad we had mushy peas. The fish was cooked to perfection, nice crispy batter too. My husband says this is the best fish and chips he has had in 10yrs.

If you love fish and chips, this is the best for miles around.

A wonderful discovery. A small shop with everyday items, but you can also try their famous fish and chips. Melt-in-your-mouth, flavorful, a real treat. The waitress's effort to speak French was much appreciated. Excellent service.
