Having left the GR20, want to eat real Corsican dishes, this is the right place. The dishes are delicious, the atmosphere is great, the waiter and the owner are great. In short, I highly recommend this restaurant....

“U Paisanu, in the heart of Bastia, is a true immersion in Corsican authenticity. Located on the 1st floor of the grocery store, the restaurant offers a warm and typical room. We had the pleasure of tasting several Corsican specialties (the whole menu 😂) everything was so tempting 🤤.
The Bastiaise-style anchovies were excellent, and the ghjialadicciu was an incredible discovery. All served by a young man who was both friendly and very attentive. Before leaving, we exchanged a few anecdotes with Francis, the boss, a simple and authentic man who perfectly embodies the spirit of this place. A memorable and gourmet experience, which we recommend without hesitation!”

Definitely perfect for eating the typical local cuisine, and compared to other restaurants in the city the prices are more honest and reasonable, good typical cheeses, it's a shame they didn't bring us the matching jams listed on the menu

We were lucky to find a seat obviously after nine because a few tables are always full. a shop selling local products with a restaurant upstairs. It is the most typical place I have visited in recent years.

Tourist inn but with genuine ingredients and well-executed dishes.
Chicca, the DEVASTANT Corsican cheese platter, accompanied by homemade fig jam.
I don't understand those who comment on the cramped environment and the lack of refinement. It's a grocery store with a kitchen. If you want a sea view, go to the port, eat worse and spend more, lice!
REAL dinner, well done!

Posto informale dove si può trovare ancora la vera cucina Corsa. Il proprietario gentilissimo e parla italiano, consiglio di prenotare perché ha pochi posti a sedere. All'interno del locale si vendono anche prodotti del territorio.
