This restaurant is a rare gem in Lyon. I truly had a gastronomic experience; simply put, everything was perfect. Let's start with the dining room, whose decor transports you to another place with its zen and nostalgic ambiance. The lighting is soft, and the room is bathed in tranquility. In short, from the moment you arrive, everything is in place to create the perfect atmosphere for what awaits you. The service is on par with everything else. The dishes are served promptly, and if needed, the staff can advise you on the best sake to accompany your meal, explain the ingredients, and even suggest how to best enjoy each course throughout your culinary journey. And finally, the cuisine, which is simply exceptional. Chef Yong-Joo Kim is an artist; there wasn't a single false note. Everything was meticulously planned to achieve the perfect combination of flavors. He even reconciled me with certain foods I thought I didn't like, such as his special eel sushi, which is one of the best on his 'wasabi' menu. Even the desserts blew me away, and I'm not usually one for sweets, but the two desserts on their menu were both delicious and light. As you've probably gathered from these few lines, I highly recommend this restaurant to all sushi lovers in Lyon looking to enjoy authentic Japanese dishes that showcase exceptional ingredients with just the right amount of flavor.

What a wonderful discovery in the 7th arrondissement! We had a delightful time; everything was perfectly fresh and presented with great care. The delicate presentation of the sushi on the black plate particularly impressed me. The small edible flowers added a very pleasing touch of refinement. A must-visit for lovers of Japanese cuisine.

What more can I say about this restaurant? I went there yesterday with a friend after a first visit about ten years ago. Simply the best sushi in Lyon! It's refined, delicious, and offers a unique experience. The quality and expertise are evident. Thank you for offering such an experience :)

The best sushi I've ever eaten.

First dinner at Wasabi Restaurant. Our table was very well located. Background music, including themes from the movie Totoro and Yiruma, was playing. The service was quick and the order of the dishes was explained. A unique experience. The ingredients were excellent, and the seasoning was just right. Even those who don't like sushi should try this restaurant. The prices are justified given the quality of the service and the ingredients used in the Wasabi menu. It's quite an achievement to find this level of quality outside of Paris. Reservations are recommended. Many thanks to the chef and the serving team. Long live Wasabi Restaurant!

Excellent! The fish is very well chosen and very flavorful. Not knowing which sushi will be offered when ordering allows you to try those you wouldn't have otherwise ordered, and to be pleasantly surprised. The price may seem high at first glance, but given the quality of the service and the food, it is justified.
