Such a delightful gem of a place! Authentic Japanese family home cooking makes a great lunch choice any time of the year. You can order to take away but to sit down it’s first come, first served. The food is obviously fresh, with a good choice of options and drinks. They have a small ‘spillover’ location a couple of buildings down the road also.

Authentic japanese food and owners. Not so tourist friendly, didn't like that we asked to share a $25 bowl. Chirashi and fish of the day items were great, but cost alot more than the category google maps placed them as.

14/12/2024: Very highly recommended. Every dish is unique and exquisitely assembled. The space is very warm and welcoming, beautifully appointed.
19/10/2024: Great little Japanese restaurant hidden away from the main streets. Authentic Japanese plates were so tasty. We had food and drink at the corner of the counter. Quiet and cozy small place. Would like to come back again.

05/08/2024: We had a very pleasant time at Shu. The place is very cozy and intimate. You will find real Japanese culture there, in the food, the service but also the atmosphere. Without a doubt, you will find excellence on your plate in the different dishes that the Chef offers (7-course menu) but also in your glass (wide range of Sake). I highly recommend.
17/07/2024: It was an interesting experience to try the kushiage concept (Japanese deep fried food on a stick). We took the 58€ menu to have the sashimi, sushi and palate cleanser on top of the basic 48€ menu. The frying technique was good, crispy, no soggy (except the scallop). But not much flavors lingering in my mind though, or maybe we are too used to french dishes which always pair the main ingredients with the sauce to elevate the flavors. In any case, worth a try for the concept. Ps: we really liked their green mustard
