Their homemade noodles are to die for! A real treat with quality products. Their very thirst-quenching bubble tea is also wow.

I was visiting Paris for a few days and was missing noodles from back home, so my brother and I decided to come to Yibol for dinner on a Monday night. The restaurant had few patrons at the time but the sweet and salty scent of broth boiling and the sight of pulled noodles pulled me in. My French is limited, so when I explained this to the server, she was happy to provide us with English menus—super convenient! It’s possible to connect to wifi and there are outlets all throughout the building, so this would be the perfect place to study with a steaming bowl of soup. I ordered the black mushroom soup and the three meat (beef, chicken, shrimp) noodles, while my brother tried the braised pork with noodles and sauce. The meat in my dish was extremely tender—the slices were cut so thinly that they nearly melted in my mouth. The broth is milder than what I’m used to from NYC Chinatown, but it proved to be a perfect match with the savory meats. I also got chysanthemum tea full of flowers and it was delicious. We decided to share a ximilu for dessert, and it reminds me a lot of a cold tambo-tambong from Filipino culture. The banana slices were fresh and went perfectly with the coconut milk base. If I were to return to Paris, I would definitely return to Yibol.

🔵🔵🔵🔵⚪️⚪️ De la bonne nouille maison. Une cantine tout ce qu’il y a de plus simple et efficace. Les pâtes faites sur place sont très bonnes. Les assaisonnements et garnitures bien amenés. Pas goûté leurs soupes de lamians ça sera pour une prochaine.
