Zucca sur Lyon

Overall, the food was good but far too expensive for the flavors. The desserts were quite dry and lacked flavor. However, the service was good!

Now a regular at this establishment, I can attest to the high quality of the cuisine. Undoubtedly one of the best Italian restaurants in Lyon, it never fails to brighten up a monotonous day, transforming lunchtime into a surprising culinary experience. Special mention goes to the exceptionally flavorful olive oil, served with a variety of different breads, which I always look forward to while waiting for my main course. The dining experience is therefore impeccable. However, one slight drawback prevents me from giving it a perfect score: Among the takeaway dishes, the most popular by far (based on a survey of over four people!) is very rarely available. This is the truffle pasta, a true jewel in Zucca's crown, whose erratic appearances are difficult to predict. The feeling of playing the lottery to enjoy the best the cuisine has to offer is quite frustrating. It's entirely up to you to achieve perfection by increasing the frequency of service of this dish and perhaps, I dare say, by adding it to the permanent menu. ERRATUM: As a man of my word, I feel it is my duty to return and clarify, a year and a half after writing this review, that our persistent prayers have been answered: As of Monday, February 9, 2026, the exceptional truffle pasta has been added to the permanent takeaway menu. I therefore award the promised additional star and no longer have any reservations whatsoever regarding the excellence of this restaurant.

A fairly average brunch experience; lots of choices but not always very high quality.

Reservations for brunch: I highly recommend it. The food was of exceptional quality, with a special mention for the pastries, which were outstanding. Admittedly, the price of €45 per person may seem high, but it is more than justified by the quality of the service and the generous portions. I would also like to thank our server, Sonia, who was friendly, helpful, and very professional. We will definitely be back!

Decent food. One of the better options in Cité, but if you've got the time I would highly recommend going downtown for some really amazing spots.

A very good compromise outside of Lyon and close to the Parc de la Tête d'Or.

We go to Zucca for brunch occasionally, and it's always a truly wonderful experience. We're not fans of all-you-can-eat buffets because they're often poor quality. At Zucca, every dish is fresh, homemade, and exquisite. Admittedly, it's more expensive than "classic" buffets, but the quality is exceptional. We especially loved the appetizer buffet and the fantastic dessert buffet. As for the hot dishes, we have a memorable experience with the pasta cooked directly in a Parmesan wheel and the superb prosciutto.

I came for a seminar, the breakfast was very good but unfortunately not enough drinks… and not enough choice personally but it was still super good!

Impeccable and fast service. Generous and excellent dishes, friendly waitresses. We felt welcome and at ease.

Quality and varied daily menu Good value for money. The menu is a little more expensive for the quality, but offers a good variety of dishes. Spacious restaurant, good for group meetings or business meetings during the week. Well located near the park and museum. High chairs and a changing table are available. A good place for children.
