16/03/2026: We decided to have lunch (3 people) at this neighborhood restaurant after the Sunday morning market in Divonnes. The welcome was more or less friendly. I suppose they were overwhelmed by the influx of customers, and I sincerely hope that's the reason for our disastrous experience. To begin with, you need the patience of a saint to eat at this establishment. We opted for the €31 set menu and had to wait 45 minutes for our starters. I ordered the "Plate of cured ham and salad," which turned out to be a single, meager slice and a half of supermarket cured ham, accompanied by a salad that was certainly from the same source. My friends ordered the "Foie gras medallion" starter, which came with crushed, sliced ​​pieces of Harry's sliced ​​bread (a cook walked past the veranda with the package in his hand)... We also had to ask for our carafe of water three times after it was offered to us. The order of the courses was completely disorganized. After an interminable wait for the starter, the waiter left so quickly after the main course that I wasn't given a chance to order another glass of wine, and I had to watch my meat cool down while waiting to get another waiter's attention. On the plus side, my request for my meat to be cooked very rare was respected. The atmosphere was like a canteen, noisy and chaotic, with a large and equally noisy clientele. The prices for glasses of wine were exorbitant, at €14 a glass for a bottle that costs around €30-35 in stores… The waiter seemed overwhelmed and annoyed, responding to our requests impatiently. I understand that there can be unexpected rushes, but a little kindness and professionalism wouldn't go amiss. Despite the "reasonable" prices (set menu €31 + 2 glasses of wine €24), the experience wasn't even worth what I paid. In short, it was a very disappointing experience. I definitely don't recommend this restaurant (at least not on Sundays…) and I won't be going back anytime soon.

12/03/2026: This is an institution in Divonne les Bains and the entire Pays de Gex. Excellent fresh dishes including fresh trout and delicious meat and on top of that affordable. Excellent service too.

29/03/2026: Great service, the owner is very friendly and the food is good. A little disappointed with the naan, though. I recommend this restaurant.

20/03/2026: We came for the second time with a friend. Everything was perfect. The servers are welcoming and friendly. The food arrives quickly. The dining room is clean and not too noisy. We'll be back!

21/02/2026: Reheated fries were hard and almost burnt, the meat was served lukewarm/cold and tough, and the sauce was different from the original. A disappointing experience for a restaurant with only one dish. Avoid it.

04/01/2026: Eating with sweaters on because it was so cold, if you can't heat the place, you don't open the door!! No cold sauce, fries totally soggy! Seriously, this has been going on for years, how do they manage to stay afloat?

27/12/2025: We dined at La Divonne – Le Président restaurant for a family Christmas dinner (12 people). Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. We arrived on time, yet we waited nearly 40 minutes for our drinks and an hour and 45 minutes for our starters. The service was very slow and disorganized: the waiter forgot several orders, and some requests were either ignored or poorly executed. What compounded our disappointment was seeing customers who arrived after us served before us, even for dishes identical to ours. The food was adequate, but nothing special. Furthermore, we were disappointed by the limited choice of starters (no simple options like a salad) and the lack of a children's menu, which is surprising for a restaurant catering to families. Overall, this experience fell far short of our expectations for a festive meal. This will unfortunately be our first and last reservation at this establishment.

02/03/2026: I ate at the restaurant this weekend, and although the service was a bit slow at first taking our order and one of the waitresses wasn't very friendly, we were pleasantly surprised. We had asked for details about the children's menus because we had seen them on the website with details, but not on the menu itself. We were a little disappointed because the waitress at the restaurant told us that the children's menu offered couscous with merguez sausage or chicken skewers with fries. It was something else entirely on the website. Similarly, drinks weren't included, whereas the website stated they were. But putting aside these minor details, we had a very good time because the food was delicious. And the last waitress we spoke to was very friendly and sociable, which helped us leave on a positive note. Thank you!

05/02/2026: The waitress with the palm tree hair needs to be replaced ASAP; she lacks competence and her welcome is unfriendly.

22/03/2026: I've ordered three times through Uber Eats, and each time the experience has been disappointing. The prices for the sushi I received and ate were exorbitant and unjustified. Carrefour Segny and Intermarché are far superior.
