10/09/2024: Our last day in vence, and we decided to extend our drive up north to this little town, Tourette Sur Loop. It’s another village for your morning walkabout.
We chance upon this restaurant called Clovis, and glad that they were open. It was a Monday and most of the Restaurants were closed.
The food, service and ambience were top! I recommend this place.
11/08/2024: Three choices of components (vegetarian, fish, meat), each as starter or main plus delicious desserts… combine as you like. We. Had tomatoes tartar and tuna, tuna and beef, and beef and strawberry rhubarb crumble with a great recommendation for Rose champagne and wine … add to that attentive (if at times a little lengthy) service and a gorgeous outdoor terrace and it makes for a wonderful evening.

11/09/2024: First of all, the location is just perfect. A truly beautiful wake-up call. A few minutes from the village which is magnificent. Small streets, incredible views, artisan and designer shops make the village a haven of tranquility frozen in time. Lots of small restaurants. we chose Leah Wine, very charming, friendly, home cooking, and very good Sauternes.
The night was perfect. Quiet, comfortable, hearty breakfast. Just opt for the lower parking lot, which is more convenient. But 5 stars for everything and even 6 for the view. THANKS.

02/11/2024: Bistro Clovis was a serendipitous find on our last day in Vence. Food was great and the courses were flexible for mix-and-match, so we got to try a few dishes. Service was super friendly yet there was enough privacy given to us. Highly recommended!

16/08/2024: We paid half a picon beer 5 euros 20, but hey a high price in a tourist place can sometimes be justified if the service or food allows it. This was not the case.
When we ask for peanuts to accompany our beers, we are answered curtly "PIZZA", as if to say: "if you are hungry you just have to buy a pizza".
Except that we didn't want to have dinner yet, because it was still early, and even less did we want to spend 14 euros on a pizza that looked more like a burnt cookie than anything else.
When we wanted to pay by credit card we were told that... lightning had fried the credit card terminal and that we could only pay in cash... We have had better excuses.

10/06/2025: Everything was very good, especially the socca ratatouille. The service was a bit slow, but not a problem on vacation.
30/05/2025: We waited for the food for more than an hour, and it was the worst food I have ever tasted in my life, and I’m 50 years old. I told the waitress that it all was bad and he just ignored me. He also tried to cheat me on the bill calculation. 3 of the 4 dishes were uneatab and the forth was just not tasty. There was no reason for the long waiting because nothing was fresh. Evening tasted as was cooked two weeks before.

06/08/2024: As a party of 10, including 4 children, we had a fantastic meal here right in the heart of the beautiful village. The food was incredible and the service was wonderful - we were made to feel very welcome and it had a lovely, relaxed feel. The pizzas, lasagne, beef and mussels were divine. We loved it so much, we have booked to go back for our last night. Definitely recommend.
