15/08/2026: This is serious business: Vietnamese food lovers will be won over! The Bobun is fabulous, and the spring rolls and egg rolls are exquisite. The service is always warm and friendly, in a simple and understated setting. A great spot in La Rochelle, located on the lovely Place des Cordeliers, away from the tourist traps of the port!

We stopped by on a whim and weren't disappointed at all; quite the opposite. A warm welcome.
Soup, spring rolls, bo bun... everything was delicious.

20/07/2026: We went there last week, for the first time, even though we live near Saintes and had never dared to go in before. What a wonderful surprise! Honestly, the welcome was incredible and genuine, with explanations about the difference between spicy and hot dishes. We ate incredibly well, it was amazing, perfectly seasoned, and especially generous portions (we left with our rice, which was to die for). The servers were friendly, and having it on the terrace made for a great evening. Since then, I've been recommending it to everyone. They even do takeout; honestly, why didn't I try it sooner? Plus, the prices are quite reasonable.

18/07/2026: Living in the area, I'd heard about Papi's Nems (spring rolls) but had never tried them. While passing by the Quai aux Vivres (food market), I saw they'd set up shop there (for the summer?) and decided to have dinner.
I tried the pad thai, which was good, and had a mango salad for dessert. I was very disappointed by the portion sizes, considering the price, both for the pad thai and the frozen mango pieces. A shame, but I'm not sure I'll go back...

24/06/2025: Tasteless food, especially the spicy shrimp, which was very bland. Tasteless service. No smiles. Takeout with tables, so... I sat down. They vacuumed while I hadn't finished eating. You should have just told me no, ma'am.

18/07/2026: I went twice with my daughter. The first time was great, and the second time we ordered two Vietnamese pho bowls, so I know pho well as my wife is Vietnamese. It was a very pleasant surprise—pho just like homemade, super delicious, very good meat, perfectly seasoned with all the flavors of Vietnam. Just so you know, pho soup needs to be ordered the day before. We are very happy with our discovery of this restaurant. The owner serves alone and is very friendly. Thank you.
17/07/2026: I think the prices are outrageous. Compared to here in Belgium, it's 1.5 times more expensive. 16 euros for noodles????

23/07/2026: A friend ordered several dishes during the heatwave. Delicious! Fresh and crisp salad, melt-in-your-mouth steamed dumplings, delicious sushi… There's a garden out back where you can enjoy your order, and you can also eat inside.
We recommend this caterer 200%!
I was lucky enough to be invited to Yseo and Galanga, which are owned by the same people: I commend the professionalism and service offered by all three restaurants.
We will gladly return.

12/07/2026: I absolutely do not recommend this place unless you want to get sick. Everything that's supposed to be fresh is at room temperature, even the ice cream counter is awful. We left with stomach aches and nausea.
I don't think this restaurant respects the cold chain... avoid it as much as possible. Except for the drinks (there has to be one positive point, lol).
If my partner and I have to go to the hospital tomorrow for food poisoning, I wouldn't be surprised. RUN AWAY, THAT'S THE ONLY THING TO REMEMBER.
I should add that after we complained at the register, we received no compensation whatsoever, even though we didn't eat much because we were so unwell. The man who served us looked at us and said "sorry," and that was it. We only spent about €10 (and I'm being generous) on food for two adults. It's absolutely unacceptable to let polite and respectful customers leave unhappy. They need to review their internal policies. Besides, we're students, so we'd saved up by eating a lot of pasta to treat ourselves to a nice restaurant. My partner and I are disgusted by the situation and very angry.

13/07/2026: Restaurant to absolutely avoid!
There were two of us for dinner: very few varieties of sushi, and what we did have was not fresh, dry spring rolls from the rice paper to the filling, only one choice of nem (egg roll), "prawns" for the wok cooked without being peeled, and inedible desserts! The head waiter greeted us very quickly and reacted annoyed because we weren't ordering wine (we had, however, ordered a cocktail and a bottled drink). Despite everything, we're relieved to have avoided the potentially common food poisoning mentioned in other reviews, but still very disappointed to have wasted our money on this so-called Asian buffet and feel completely ripped off.
04/07/2026: No choice at the buffet, the desserts weren't fresh, the restaurant is ugly, the hygiene is questionable – a restaurant to avoid.
