20/05/2026: We went to La Rocha one weekday evening in the pouring Marseille rain. We were the only ones in the restaurant, but we had a wonderful time. The cuisine was high-quality oriental, featuring mezze. A member of the staff prepared the stuffed grape leaves by hand right in front of us. The portions were generous, and the price was more than reasonable for a restaurant at the start of the Corniche. The owner was very friendly. We'll definitely be back.

04/07/2026: While passing through Marseille, we had the great idea of returning to Le Caucase. The wine, mezze, main course, and desserts were all excellent, and the owner gave us a warm welcome.

19/03/2026: I've had the opportunity to visit this small restaurant several times and I've always appreciated its atmosphere. The place is truly cozy and welcoming, perfect for spending a pleasant time with friends or as a couple. It's ideally located, somewhat hidden away in a small alley near the beach, which gives it a very appealing intimate feel. The back terrace is particularly pleasant in the summer, offering a tranquil and relaxing setting away from the hustle and bustle.
The restaurant also stands out for its wine selection. You can easily take advantage of the staff's expert advice to discover new bottles, which adds a real bonus to the dining experience.
However, it should be noted that the dishes, while of very good quality and delicious, are still rather expensive for my taste. Furthermore, the welcome and service aren't always up to par: I've sometimes encountered a waiter who made inappropriate comments, which can slightly detract from the experience.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the ambiance, setting and quality of the food make this restaurant a place I recommend for a pleasant, stress-free meal, especially if you are looking for an intimate and well-located place to enjoy a relaxing moment near the beach, with the option of sharing good food with friends or as a couple.

16/07/2026: Amazing experience! 😍 Beautiful decor, warm welcome, and impeccable service. The meat was cooked perfectly, and the pizza (thin crust and generous toppings) was simply delicious. I recommend this restaurant 100%. We'll be back very soon... with enough room to try the desserts this time! 😆

01/06/2026: There was a bit of a mix-up with the reservation. But the waitresses sorted it out and we were able to get seated for a very enjoyable dinner and concert. The food was good and plentiful. The lamb shoulder with tender vegetables was perfectly cooked. A pleasant surprise. We'll be back.
26/05/2026: A small, well-located restaurant in the Panier district with a concise menu, a testament to its quality. The food was good, as were the wines (a nice selection). It's a shame the wines arrived after the main courses. Overall, a pleasant place for lunch.

05/05/2026: A consistently excellent meal! The service is exemplary, the waitresses are lovely and energetic, you really feel welcome. And the fennel salad... a real treat, I order it every single meal without fail, I never get tired of it! I wholeheartedly recommend La Cave à Jambon. 🙌

31/05/2026: A simple application of the right of admission, as long as it's not accompanied by insults or discriminatory remarks.
No legal issues: he can refuse entry for attire deemed non-compliant with the dress code.
The security guards don't know you, they won't let you in, then they'll tell their manager or the owner of the establishment that I did a good job, so I'm giving it one star.
Even a lawyer specializing in civil or commercial law can't get you in; it's disgraceful for an establishment.
I'm going to the La Valentine police station to ask the police why the security guard only ever has this instruction to admit me.
Very disappointed to be refused entry in this way, supposedly (I don't know you).
And also, two of my colleagues are inside, and I finish work late, I arrive at 3:00 AM, and he tells me it's not possible.

05/07/2026: I arrived and explained I had a disability which the nice server girl then moved me to the front. I bought an ice tea and settled in for France match before being grabbed by the arm by a very aggressive man and shoved out of the place because I wasn't smoking or eating even though at no stage was I told this before I sat down. The behaviour was a disgrace and the complaint will be lodged. They showed the worst form of nasty french brusqueness and I would advise any International visit to tread very carefully here. The management should apologise and endeavour to treat people with respect in the future
03/07/2026: Extremely disappointed. I was passing through Marseille and decided to eat at this restaurant, and it was a disaster.
We waited an hour for our food and cocktails. We only ordered burgers, and they were a catastrophe.
The cheese was practically frozen, and there was ketchup and mayo in the burger even though we weren't asked what we wanted. The fries had black bits in them because their oil must have been so dirty. The steak and the cocktail were beyond belief; the pictures speak for themselves.
The waitresses were incredibly unpleasant. They practically threw the cocktail at you. And the prices? Extremely expensive, and definitely not worth it.
Honestly, if I could have given zero stars, I wouldn't have hesitated for a second. It's a disaster; avoid this "restaurant" at all costs.

26/05/2024: Despite the goodwill of the young people at the service, the quality/price ratio is very unbalanced. A plate of asparagus with a summary presentation and no visual or taste interest. A less than warm sea bass fillet and more than approximate cooking. All accompanied by an ordinary porquerolle rosé for an addition of…….140€ for 2! Now it's up to you to form your opinion.
