14/03/2026: A few years ago, while traveling from Alsace to the Landes region, I booked a room at "La Coloniale" bed and breakfast. I arrived around 5 p.m. on a Sunday evening in mid-October. The weather was rainy, dark, and gloomy, and there was no one at reception. I called the mobile number I had and reached someone who I was clearly bothering. The gentleman was invited to a friend's house for drinks. Barely polite, he questioned my reservation date. He did, however, explain how to access a room (Prune) which wasn't the one I had booked (Perle). There was no one to suggest a restaurant for dinner, so no dinner. The next morning, still no host, I dealt with a housekeeper, who was quite pleasant, for breakfast and to settle the bill for my stay. Conclusion: disappointed by this reception which lacked the most basic respect, this is not an address I recommend.

15/02/2026: Pleasant experience, lovely and attentive staff who answer the phone when needed. The homemade breakfast was delicious, I highly recommend it. Clean room, clean and comfortable bedding, towels provided. One small detail: bring your own shower gel as there isn't any. The air conditioning was set to 24°C, we were cold during the night, and we wanted to take a bath but couldn't fill the tub as there was no hot water. A pleasant place to stay, I would gladly return. Thank you to Francis, his wife, and their staff.

24/03/2026: Very well received, excellent service and friendly staff, and very clean.

24/03/2026: Today, two smiling and very friendly employees came to our table to offer us a tasting. The cheddar stars were excellent. Then we tried three new sauces: the mushroom sauce was very good, the lemon sauce was light and delicate, and finally, the Japanese sauce was very spicy. I will definitely keep these new items in mind for my next orders.

15/04/2026: A stay at this Mercure hotel is always a pure delight. The restaurant is delicious, and the room is very well soundproofed and comfortable. A special mention goes to the fabulous breakfast. My only regret: not having had the chance to enjoy the pool yet.

16/04/2026: Friday, April 3, 2026, at 4:38 PM: Pigeons start eating the waffle you're about to enjoy. The waitresses don't bother to destroy the waffles; they simply chase the pigeon away, which immediately returns. This has been reported to the employees, who take no action.
