20/09/2024: Seven of us booked & ate here on a weekday evening & it soon filled up. It is very impressive as you approach along the quayside & the decor is genial. We were seated at a long maneuverable table which was useful for some of us. Lots of friendly staff providing a very quick service. The Sea Bass with chorizo was delicious, but the (two) white fish dishes need heating properly. All plates were left clean! Good cafe gourmand.

17/09/2024: We booked at table so expected to be served within a reasonable time of being seated. That wasn't the case. The service was extremely slow even for ordering a drink let alone our food. Which took ages to come out to us. Other diners were also looking for service wondering why the service was practically non existent. It was Sunday evening around 7pm. When our food finally arrived we were so looking forward to it we refrained from eating anything at lunchtime. Our burgers were bone dry (we order medium rare) there was no flavour at all to the meat no charring from the grill it was just smothered in BBQ sauce and chunky quarters of tomatoes. My bun was burnt around the edges so I left that. That meal took around 50 mins to come from the kitchen. Beautiful establishment shame about the dreadful food. Such a disappointing experience. I didn't even take a photo of my food that's how unappetising I it was.
