The outdoor seating area – a narrow alleyway leading to residential buildings, with its charming and typically southern French flair – immediately invited us to sit down. The service team wasn't quite ready to open yet, but the owner gave us an exceptionally warm welcome and invited us to stay. Such attentive, truly guest-focused service is a rare find. Le Criquet is a little jewel nestled between the ancient theater and the amphitheater. A small, exquisite menu featuring regional specialties, a relaxed ambiance, and a pleasantly unhurried atmosphere. It's exactly the kind of restaurant you discover by chance in Arles – and then immediately want to return to. What's particularly lovely is that, despite its central location, everything feels surprisingly peaceful and authentic, completely free of tourist traps. The cuisine is honest, fresh, and typically Provençal – with attention to detail rather than an overloaded menu. A place to arrive, breathe deeply, and savor the moment. Greetings from Germany

The food was very flavorful with subtle touches. Excellent cuisine. The prices were reasonable. The location is nicely central yet tucked away. We've been there twice and were very satisfied. 02/07/2026: The restaurant I went to on Sunday evening was very good, unfortunately, it was closed yesterday. I continued on my way and saw Le Galoubet. It has a shaded terrace on a small street in Arles, which is very pleasant. I ordered the chicken and the Paris-Brest (I had already seen in the reviews that it was divine) and I absolutely don't regret ordering it. The staff is friendly and helpful. I've booked a table for tonight. I can't wait to go back! I've already been! Still as good as ever! This time: The fish and the lemon cream. I've booked for tomorrow. This time: The hanger steak and the apricots! I've booked again for tomorrow (and the last day). They are very helpful! After eating there every night for four days, I can honestly say it's absolutely delicious! Admittedly, it's a bit pricey (€43 for a soft drink, main course, and dessert), but it's well worth the trip and a real treat for the taste buds. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!! And I'll definitely remember this place.

12/04/2026: The food was fantastic. We ordered the daily special, a steak with a unique sauce containing mushrooms and wood ear fungus. Special praise goes to their kids' meal; it was very thoughtful, featuring a special combination of meat, fries, and ice cream. The server even gave the kids lollipops afterwards – the service was warm and attentive.

02/06/2026: Our best meal in Arles by far. Delicious dinner served by a staff that is passionate about their food. We really enjoyed chatting with chef David about how he sources the ingredients locally. The braised pork was fork tender with a delicious sauce. The wine list is limited but had a nice range of options.

09/06/2026: We had a very delicious meal there. It was also busy with locals at lunchtime. It was the only restaurant for miles around that was open for lunch during the off-season.
