17/04/2026: We had an excellent meal. The welcome and service were perfect, and the dessert was a lovely surprise as it was my husband's birthday. Even the background music was great. The parking is conveniently located. We will definitely be back soon; I highly recommend it.

The price is high, but commensurate with the quality of the food.

04/04/2026: The restaurant's design is contemporary and refined. When the atmosphere is calm, there's a fountain that emits a pleasant sound of flowing water.
The dishes are beautifully presented.
I tried the Emperor steak with rice and vegetable purée; it was excellent, though the portion wasn't very large.
Overall, I recommend this place where the quality is consistently high at a very reasonable price.

13/04/2026: We came to this restaurant for the first time on the evening of our civil partnership ceremony. We received a wonderful welcome from all the staff, who were very attentive throughout the evening, and our table was beautifully decorated for the occasion! The meal was delicious! Simple, well-cooked and presented, all homemade! Excellent value for money, plus very pleasant staff. We'll be back very soon!

11/12/2025: Avoid this place if you're having a package delivered. I didn't receive mine because they claimed it was buried under a pile of packages. Clearly, they're just too lazy.
10/12/2025: I came to pick up a package, and since they don't know how to organize themselves, I left without it, even though it was an urgent package.

15/12/2024: Restaurant that you absolutely must discover. The dishes are excellent and the service impeccable. All products are fresh with a beautiful presentation.
I would add that the pancakes served in the afternoon for young and old are delicious without forgetting the mulled wine to comfort the hikers after the tour of the lake.
04/12/2024: Perfection: pleasant but simple setting, relaxed but respectful welcome, refined but complete menu, simple but excellent products, careful cuisine but without unnecessary frills.
Thank you for allowing us to escape burgers, pizzas and other fried steaks by offering us an Auvergne that is both modern and traditional.

07/03/2026: Reading the description of the restaurant on the website, I nearly died laughing.
"Prawn salad with mandarins" as a local discovery! 😁😁 Under "local specialties," they also list risotto!! It's probably due to the movement of tectonic plates, which must have shifted and brought Italy closer to the Combrailles region... I'd also like to know which river the prawns come from and (despite global warming), where the Auvergne mandarins come from...

09/07/2024: Un des restaurateurs du Glacier nous a aidées mon amie et moi à rentrer en Suisse, tout cela généreusement et gratuitement. Nous l'en remercions vivement. Surtout nous constatons que l'accueil à Châtel Guyon est chaleureux et désintéressé. Nous reviendrons volontiers manger au Glacier l'année prochaine.
10/04/2024: Sans prétention, mais bien servis, nous avons bien mangé. Entrées ,plats, desserts sont bien présentés et le service est rapide et souriant
