Smiling, attentive, and passionate people who make you want to come back. Thank you for this wonderful experience; we had a superb evening and highly recommend this restaurant! 😊🍽️
04/06/2026: A delightful dinner for a festive and intimate occasion. The food, the service, the ambiance were all perfect… a rare treat! The chef showcases the ingredients beautifully, blending classic and modern techniques. The lobster and sweetbreads were cooked to perfection, their flavors enhanced and never compromised. The amuse-bouche (asparagus cream with hazelnut oil) was exquisite. A special mention goes to the goat cheese, its ice cream, and its sweet thyme jus!
The service was attentive and warm, even for our little dog, who received special attention, as did I, whose birthday it was. The setting was both elegant and cozy.
Thank you for your professionalism and kindness, which greatly contributed to the success of this evening and the lasting memories we will cherish.

07/06/2026: I was only in town briefly and wanted to grab a bite to eat at short notice, and this restaurant was the only one that had a table available. The atmosphere, service, and food were all excellent. My server, who may also have been the owner, was very friendly and explained everything to me in English. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone.
The value for money is very good.
11/04/2026: The perfect place for a romantic evening; we were welcomed like regulars even though we were just passing through the area. The food was excellent and the service impeccable.

This casino really has the potential to become a very nice place to which we would want to return very often. ..

15/12/2024: Restaurant that you absolutely must discover. The dishes are excellent and the service impeccable. All products are fresh with a beautiful presentation.
I would add that the pancakes served in the afternoon for young and old are delicious without forgetting the mulled wine to comfort the hikers after the tour of the lake.
04/12/2024: Perfection: pleasant but simple setting, relaxed but respectful welcome, refined but complete menu, simple but excellent products, careful cuisine but without unnecessary frills.
Thank you for allowing us to escape burgers, pizzas and other fried steaks by offering us an Auvergne that is both modern and traditional.

07/03/2026: Reading the description of the restaurant on the website, I nearly died laughing.
"Prawn salad with mandarins" as a local discovery! 😁😁 Under "local specialties," they also list risotto!! It's probably due to the movement of tectonic plates, which must have shifted and brought Italy closer to the Combrailles region... I'd also like to know which river the prawns come from and (despite global warming), where the Auvergne mandarins come from...

09/07/2024: Un des restaurateurs du Glacier nous a aidées mon amie et moi à rentrer en Suisse, tout cela généreusement et gratuitement. Nous l'en remercions vivement. Surtout nous constatons que l'accueil à Châtel Guyon est chaleureux et désintéressé. Nous reviendrons volontiers manger au Glacier l'année prochaine.
10/04/2024: Sans prétention, mais bien servis, nous avons bien mangé. Entrées ,plats, desserts sont bien présentés et le service est rapide et souriant
