17/09/2024: I am sorry to say that I do not recommend staying at this hotel at all. I had a reservation for one night for Saturday. On Monday of that week, my father-in-law was admitted to the hospital and we were informed of the sad news that he has pancreatic cancer and that he has months to live. I informed the hotel of this terrible situation, I even sent them the hospital report, but they did not want to return the money. It is true that free cancellation was no longer available. In the end, after talking with them on the phone for a long time, they told me that they could give me a voucher to spend this year. But they have never sent it to me. In any case, we would not have been able to enjoy it this year either, since the situation we have is very painful. How sad it is to realize how little humanity some people have. Therefore, I do not recommend staying at this hotel. Response to your comment: The situation was not as you indicate. We do not cancel at the last minute, that is breaking the truth. We sent them an email in English a few days before explaining the situation and sending them the hospital report. We never received a response. A day after sending that email, we sent it again but this time translated into French. We also received no response. We can forward these emails to you whenever you want. It is thanks to Booking that you finally contact us and tell us to cancel the room. And of course, that's how we do it. I understand your cancellation policy when it is an unjustified cause. In this case, that my father-in-law is dying, I think it is very very understandable not to go on vacation. The rest of the French accommodations did refund our money without a single problem. So, I have every right in the world not to recommend this hotel and to warn people that even if you are dying they are not going to refund your money. So I recommend that you go to other hotels and not this one. How sad it is to see that some businessmen have no humanity. The voucher they indicate has never reached us. And I think everyone will understand that we will not be able to use it this year, since sadly my father-in-law is dying.

14/09/2024: On our way to this establishment to spend the night, we had a motorcycle accident. The hotel was informed in the afternoon that we could not honor our reservation because the motorcycle was no longer roadworthy. I therefore requested a refund of our night's stay twice via Booking messaging (even though the cancellation deadline had passed) given the completely unforeseen nature of our cancellation. No response was given to me, neither positive nor negative. So there you go, as long as you pay, everything is fine, but if there is a problem, even the tiniest good manners disappear.

02/09/2024: - Dishes arrived lukewarm or almost cold!, it's unpleasant! - Service too fast: the aperitif is not finished, the main course arrives! Plus, there's something better than peanuts! - Bread served in a bag, a napkin and a basket would be nicer! - Plate too small, ingredients too tight!!! For lunch on a Sunday, it's a shame! We come to the restaurant to take our time and taste the flavors! - Everyone crowded inside (rainy day), really too much noise!!! Too bad for all these reasons, my 3 is justified! Pleasant waiters, it must be emphasized! I expect much better from this type of restaurant!

11/07/2024: Gorgeous ! I have been systematically staying at Les Gravades in Ussel for 5 years for my business trips. It feels like a family home in the countryside. Vast, natural, relaxing, beautiful environment. The rooms are large, clean, very comfortable bedding. The staff is at the top of the service, special mention for Carla and Flora :)! And the whole team takes great care. Great restaurant, good products, fast service. Very varied continental breakfast, with a wide choice of local and homemade products. There is something for every taste. And the hotel mascot............The super nice cat LILO <3 who gives hugs to all the customers :) always on hand to welcome me when I come, a joy! Thank you to the whole Gravades team and see you very soon I hope :)
