10/09/2026: As usual, we booked for 7:30 pm, so imagine our surprise to see on the reservation card that the table could be vacated by 8:55 pm at the latest. La Bella has become a canteen due to the large portions and the two seatings. The owner is unfriendly.

06/09/2026: Today at the Buffalo Grill in Pontarlier, there was a promotion advertised in the dining room for a ribeye steak at €19.90. When I went to order, the waiter told me it was out of stock and offered me the one at €29.90 instead. Strange, considering the advertisement was right there. So I switched to a potato burger, which I usually order without any problem at other Buffalo Grill restaurants in Besançon, Dijon, or in the south of France. There, I was told that the fries and sauces were extra, which has never been the case elsewhere. I asked for a little time to choose a new dish, and as I was walking away, I heard the waiter say, "What a pain in the ass." After hearing this, I left the restaurant. I am extremely appalled by the comments made and the service I received at this restaurant. I do not recommend this establishment.

09/10/2026: Receiving a complete order with all items included is as rare as seeing Girondins de Bordeaux win Ligue 1, especially since the burgers cost as much as a Real Madrid transfer fee, only to not receive said burger in the order.

09/10/2026: My first visit to McDonald’s in France, here in Pontarlier. Having come from the US, I find that a few things are different - where is the Quarter Pounder?, but free WiFi at McDonald’s must be universal. I like the Halloween decorations. The men’s room was very clean.

28/09/2026: Excellent brasserie that we frequent regularly every time we pass through Pontarlier. Never disappointed. Hearty and inexpensive dishes.

26/09/2026: Excellent value for money and quantity. Great welcome and service. Dogs welcome, plus! So, we eat there two nights out of two. Jean-Phi and I highly recommend Brasserie Le Français.

29/08/2026: It's unacceptable to charge extra for drinks on the terrace, and the worst part is having a coin slot on the toilet door!!! €1 please!!!!!!

18/08/2026: The price-quality ratio was acceptable, nothing exceptional. A small bonus was the extra 0.20 cents for eating on the terrace, where we were seated without choosing a table (and without being informed of the small surcharge).
