27/03/2024: It's a "real" restaurant where you can enjoy both the dishes and the wines. A little expensive and a little noisy but it's worth it, certainly one of the best in Alès!

03/04/2024: We came here for lunch and ordered the beef burger and chicken breast with white sauce - both were very good. Service was friendly and price reasonable. Ended with a chocolate lava cake with ice cream.

02/04/2024: Lunch while visiting Nîmes, we had the dish of the day, poultry ballottines, we enjoyed ourselves. Very nice waiter, we had a good time.

31/03/2024: With all due respect...the staff were polite and I appreciated their kindness. However, the food was extremely underwhelming. I was worried it was perhaps premade meals at some points. I ordered the dish made of beef cheek, red wine sauce, and seasonal vegetables "PARMENTIER DE JOUE DE BOEUF CONFITE".... My meal turned out to be 4 large chunks of beef with uncooked fat (not candied at all), bland mashed potatoes , and the "seasonal vegetables" was simply a single quarter of a carrot, no wine sauce was included and absolutely none of it was seasoned, not even salt and pepper. We ended up leaving without taking deserts because it was just not worth it. I ended up not eating most of the meal because it tasted like nothing. On a side note, there was a small safety concern with the fireplace. When walking into the restaurant you are hit with the smell of smoke. As the evening progressed, we heard and saw many customers coughing and complaining of the smoke. A few couples joined us taking breaks outside to breathe away from the smoke. When coming back inside, the smoke was visible throughout the entire restaurant, it caused us to become very lightheaded. We even saw one woman leave to get a mask to wear during her evening! I have enjoyed many great restaurants in the region but this was unfortunately not one of them. :(

18/03/2024: This charming little restaurant offers very friendly service. Although the menu is limited, each dish is prepared with care and attention. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cuisine, particularly the Thai salad and flank steak. The view of the main square is magnificent, but access is only on foot. We spent around €100 for two people

17/02/2024: I recommend, A pleasant surprise... Very good dishes and desserts. A welcome like I have rarely seen in restaurants, the owner and his team are incredibly kind and take great care of his customers, and in particular with our 8 year old boy. Thank you again for all.

28/03/2024: The staff was very pleasant, The establishment is a 5-minute walk from the Arena. Public parking right next to the hotel. The establishment offered us a rate of €10 per night.

25/03/2024: Nice hotel...very nice staff. My room was small but nice. Breakfast far too much but excellent. I can highly recommend this hotel.

20/02/2024: What a meal ! Four of us ate there, at the counter, with a direct view of the kitchen and all four of us were captivated by all the talent displayed in the kitchen of La Pie qui Couette. Of course, with talent rhymes quality products. It’s an incredible opportunity to have such a restaurant in Les Halles de Nîmes.

19/02/2024: My parents live in Nîmes and regularly eat there, so they took me and I was not disappointed!! Small restaurant in the middle of the halls, we are seated high up facing the teams and especially facing the kitchen where we can see what they are preparing! The dishes are excellent and worth their price. Small downside for the seasonal dessert which was clementine, it was served to us frozen in the middle 😅😅 but otherwise nothing to complain about either in terms of service or cuisine!
