11/12/2025: Review from December 2025: Oh dear, what a change Trinquefougasse has undergone. The beloved "La Mer" planche is no longer available. Unfortunately, the restaurant has only declined in quality over the last 3-4 years. The service is far less attentive than before. Today, we were simply laughed at when the squid (seiche) on the skewer was still almost raw even after being returned to the kitchen for an extra round. This is not how you handle complaints. The food is nowhere near the same quality as it was 4 years ago. Where has the freshness gone? Even the bread seems several days old. Every year, on our way to/from Spain, we used to stay overnight in Montpellier and visit this restaurant. We will unfortunately have to find somewhere else. What a shame! Review from November 2022: As always, friendly and good. We love this restaurant with its good food, great wines, and lovely atmosphere. Reservations are recommended, but not always necessary.

23/01/2026: The food was decent, but be aware that not all customers like the special seasonings. A fresh coat of paint and a general update would be nice. The music was a bit loud, especially when the restaurant was empty.

29/12/2025: Pleasant welcome. Tapas were good, but few were homemade. Dessert was very disappointing. Seating was very uncomfortable.

26/09/2024: Unfortunately, there was no buddha bowl. I opted for the vegetarian wok. It was very good, colorful, well seasoned. The waitress had also offered something else for vegetarians, apparently they would be flexible. Correct price and quantity. The dish was freshly prepared.

15/09/2024: Very charming restaurant with very good food! The prices weren't exhorbitant either. My husband and I split the grilled seafood platter and it was delicious!

14/01/2026: I went there to buy a bottle of rum from their refined selection. Lots of choices, and especially the bar and tasting area, which was super inviting. I ended up staying with a friend to sample different rums. This place has evolved very nicely over the last two years. It's a great after-work spot, but also an excellent place to find good bottles; the advice is top-notch. Thanks to the team!
