24/02/2024: Things were going badly because the Uber order was wrong. I ordered a dish and received the complete opposite. Disappointed, I called the restaurant, who sent an employee to deliver the correct dish to me. It makes up for my disappointment, and what's more, it's very good. Thank you to the restaurant for reacting quickly.

28/02/2024: I stayed there two nights on February 24 and 25. In number 16 which is opposite reception. For the negative points: - There is a real problem with the water heater, but beyond that, even letting the water run several times for several minutes, I did not have hot water in the evening, however in the morning no problem , if people have used the water before, it will quickly reach the tap. - My wall lights did not work, in winter it makes things complicated in the evening for the desk which is behind the cupboard, therefore in a dark corner. The huge shaded lamp on the desk is far too strong on the eyes when it's this close. - At the corners there are some slight dark mold, humidity is normal in Evreux, and it is complicated to clean well given the height, but you would have to rub with a little CIF or something else to remove that. The positive points : - The service is almost impeccable, the staff, from what little I have seen, are friendly, smiling, and above all helpful, that makes a big difference. - Calm. Yes the buildings are a bit old and you can hear the slats creaking when people walk in the corridor, but the night is quiet and the insulation is not bad. We hear talking on the phone in the hallway at the doors, but once in the room, the sound is cut off. - The croissants are good, the bread too. It's true that the products are industrial, between the spreadable cheese, Nutella and ham, but it's still good and for once, it doesn't hurt. I did not eat a meal or dinner so I cannot comment on the products served at these times. - The location. The main avenue allows easy access to many things: Pharmacy, bakery, or other amenities if necessary. - The atmosphere of the rooms. Despite everything, mine was very calm, and this color... pleasant, warm, in short, good. So much so that I hesitate to come back accompanied just to enjoy the romantic atmosphere... - The bed. Although it was two single beds pushed together to get a queen size, the comfort was there. The pillows were less so, but each person has their preferences in terms of pillows so everyone can form their own opinion on them. - The presence of an additional thick blanket in the wardrobe for those who are cold and who come to stay, or like me, those who wish to use it as a bolster to relieve their neck pain. Suggested improvements: - Put kettles in the rooms with something to make herbal tea or something like that in the evening before going to sleep. - Perhaps offer more regional products for the morning, for example the famous Normandy tart, with coffee in the morning it must be excellent! - Fix this safety problem on the water heater which takes 12 years to heat the water... that can help. - Put smaller lamps on the desks for those who work there, because this huge lamp takes up space. Otherwise to talk about the bathroom, the bathtub is large, and allows you to sit down to shower. I doubt it would be pleasant for elderly people but I suppose on the ground floor there are rooms with showers for people with reduced mobility, so it's okay. Ventilation that turns on at the same time as the light is a good idea, it means you don't forget to turn it on or off. The toilet bath layout is also well done for me so that contributes to the good rating.

14/02/2024: How unfortunate... It was a nice surprise when I arrived. The hotel is very beautiful, with a very beautiful frontage. The hall and the breakfast room have a lot of charm. My rooms were in their original style, not devoid of charm but a little dated… The bedding, nothing to say, it was perfect. However, the quality of service really leaves something to be desired. Please note that I am not talking about people who are very nice, but I would note several points that deserve a real overhaul: The breakfast was really tasteless (everything is industrial, even though regional products were mentioned) No supplement in the rooms (eg: kettle, samples etc.) these are details, but which can make the difference. There is a real problem with the boiler (between 5 and 10 minutes to have hot water in the shower) And I would also point out that one morning, work was carried out at the entrance to my room… In short, I think this hotel can really be very nice but these few points need to be improved.
