Many restaurants complain about customers who make reservations and then don't show up, and rightly so, of course. But at the slightest sound of a boiled egg, you make a reservation and they close without warning 😡. You make a reservation at lunchtime for the evening, call with your number displayed, they take your name and time, and when you arrive, the restaurant is closed! Obviously, you need a modicum of intelligence or respect for your customers to check your call history and let them know you have an unforeseen problem. We can understand that, but the least you could do is try to inform customers who are counting on you for dinner. Clearly, that's not how they operate. Fortunately, there are now some good restaurants in this city, so go elsewhere if you don't want to be disappointed. We had the pleasure of dining at O ​​Saveurs, a pleasant terrace, refined cuisine; we were definitely better off. A word to the wise...

15/05/2026: We came with friends and had a wonderful time at La Cheminée. We shared several dishes because everything looked so tempting: the four-meat platter with its delicious little sautéed potatoes, as well as the veal escalopes with cider and mushroom cream sauce, also served with potatoes. Everything was absolutely delicious! You can feel the family atmosphere and authenticity of the restaurant, with the cooking over the fireplace making all the difference. The welcome was lovely from beginning to end. Thank you again for this wonderful experience; we will gladly return very soon!

13/05/2026: A pleasant experience at La Gazette: excellent value for money, justifying the 5 stars. The dishes are tasty, though not all of the same quality: the chicken ravioli was too thick. The hake with celery risotto was excellent. Dessert: the finger was decent, while the savarin was delicious. There were some nice touches, but also some disappointments: the starters were clearly not up to par, but the rest made up for it. Regarding the service: the waiter was very friendly and pleasant, but rather slow, even though we were three tables of two. I'll have to go back to refine my opinion, but overall, the value for money deserves 5 stars.

25/06/2026: I went in but didn't stay because the prices are relatively high for crêpes. They seem to use quality ingredients, but a plain crêpe is €4.30, a "complète" (with three fillings) is €13, and the others are over €15—prices higher than crêperies in Montparnasse. A shame.

I opted for the daily special: a generous portion, perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and served quickly (ideal when you only have an hour). The staff is friendly and helpful, and the service is impeccable. The value for money is simply unbeatable for homemade dishes like this! Reservations are recommended as the place is very popular—and it's easy to see why.
