22/10/2026: I highly recommend this place. The service and welcome were perfect, with exceptional kindness. I ordered a pepper steak; the sauce was amazing. The best Hippopotamus in France!

20/10/2026: Hippotamus is nothing like the restaurants I used to know. The service was quick, but it's nowhere near the quality of the 90s. The Cheeseburger tasted like cheese, barely cooked, and was served lukewarm, if not cold. The dessert offered was five cream puffs that weren't very soft after being microwaved to defrost. I was very disappointed; it's not really a restaurant. It was so much better before (even though I hate to say it). We'll quickly forget this sad meal.

26/10/2026: Yesterday we bought 11 pizzas, we didn't see the discount, yet the colleague who went to pick them up clearly noted the high price!! Did you tell him the discount was calculated automatically? My pizza was €16.50, and I paid €16.50 🤔🧐

11/11/2025: We went as a couple on this public holiday. The welcome and service were impeccable. However, the food was very disappointing in terms of value for money. The Savoyard menu arrived with the cheese not very hot, but never mind. And the Périgord menu consisted of a few pieces of duck breast with a salad, potatoes, and a small dish with a lot of sauce and a few pieces of meat. Not convincing. Disappointed overall 🤧

13/06/2026: Okay, so... Just a moment, please, take a moment to read this... I'm with my niece who's coming for lunch on Saturday to see her grandmother, who's staying with us. I suggest she let her brothers know Grandma is here... and we end up talking on the phone... 13 people! Yes, we love Grandma 🥰. You should know that at Le Poêlon, they answer the phone with exceptional kindness, listening carefully to your needs. Upon arrival, you can park your car. And since the weather was gorgeous... we were immediately offered a table on the terrace. When we arrived, the owner was adjusting the parasols so our table was shaded, and he greeted us warmly with a smile. All the staff are very attentive to your needs, without pressuring you to buy more or take longer, without being intrusive, with proven professionalism and incredible memories. They don't even carry notebooks! And no hesitation whatsoever about the placement of the assigned plates, each as different as it was varied. The buffet... a wide variety, and of course, impeccably fresh. Three menus to choose from; you're sure to find something you'll love. And let's talk about the price.... Well, you won't be shocked; it's more than reasonable. So much so that you're already thinking about the next date to return to Le Poêlon for another exceptional experience and to see the incredibly kind staff again. All my guests, young and old, have said the same thing... "There are still restaurants like this, wow?!" 😍 So, for us, it's a 10 out of 10. And thank you from the bottom of our hearts ❤️ for this moment, forever etched in each of our memories. See you soon...
