12/03/2026: A warm welcome. The menu is limited, but the dishes offered are delicious and generous. Pleasant background music that doesn't drown out conversations. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit. I highly recommend it.

01/03/2026: Passing through the area, I stopped for a drink, as I used to, but was told no in a very unpleasant tone, so I moved on. A few days later, my children came to see me and decided to try the new Châtaigner restaurant because of the change of ownership. They were very disappointed. The blue cheese ravioli were dry, with no cream and no blue cheese flavor, and the rösti burger wasn't great—the rösti was too greasy, and the steak, which I ordered rare, was served well-done. The waiter was very pleasant and attentive. The owner wasn't smiling at all. I won't be going back. Keep walking.

15/04/2026: Thank you for the welcome before the hotel opened, which allowed us to park our bikes safely and return to our room. Dinner and breakfast were at the hotel restaurant, which was open for guests.

12/04/2026: A very friendly, family-run hotel where we received a very warm welcome. The rooms are spacious, well-equipped, and quiet. Good local cuisine. If we return to the area, we will definitely stay there again. We also greatly appreciated their help when our bike broke down on the climb to Lamastre.

08/03/2026: Excellent cuisine featuring specialties from the Ardèche and Rhône-Alpes regions, among others, and a good selection of wines. Local, fresh, and high-quality products. Very good value for money. The welcome is warm and friendly in a beautiful, newly renovated dining room, and on sunny days, the pleasant panoramic shaded terrace is a real bonus. A delicious and convivial meal is guaranteed, and we will gladly return. Thank you to the entire team at "Chez Germaine"!
