07/03/2026: We stayed at La Chenaudière for my birthday, and it was simply a timeless experience. The staff were incredibly attentive, kind, and always smiling. The spa area is truly charming, with different levels and outdoor pools offering breathtaking views of the surrounding nature. We appreciated that a section of the spa was reserved for guests over 15. The "Les Montagnes" room was stunning, beautifully decorated, and impeccably clean. We also loved the lovely scent of orange blossoms when we entered our room; it immediately made us feel comfortable and relaxed.
We also tried the "Le Chêne" restaurant, and what can I say except that it was delicious? It was our first time trying this type of restaurant, and we weren't disappointed. Each meal was better than the last, and our taste buds were delighted. A big thank you and congratulations to the cleaning ladies for their work, to the staff who are very warm and professional, as well as to the chefs and waiters, we will gladly return!
02/03/2026: We stayed at La Cheneaudière for my 30th birthday. The room was superb and the dinner was excellent.
However, the spa was a huge disappointment. For three hours, we only saw a pool with jets and a Nordic bath. We quickly became bored, thinking that was all there was to it. It was only afterward that we learned there was an indoor pool, hammam, sauna, jacuzzi, etc., which we never saw due to the lack of welcome, explanations, and directions upon arrival.
When you pay over €1,200 for a night, including the room and spa, you expect an impeccable experience and, at the very least, a proper welcome. Clearly, this experience wasn't even worth half that.
I wrote to the spa department to explain our disappointment and help them improve: still no response after several months. For an establishment with this reputation, the least they could have done was reply. Once the money is in, apparently, all follow-up is out of the question.
We've had our experience, and we won't be back.
