24/02/2026: I hesitated for a long time before writing this Google review, but I have to say that our experience was disappointing. We are loyal customers of the Auberge du Cheval Blanc. We've been coming for 12 years, often on the "Escape" package and sometimes just for lunch. My husband is very fond of this establishment. He proposed to me here… He had booked for my birthday. He had chosen an Alsatian suite on the "Escape" package. We arrived at check-in time. We were shown to our room, the Gingerbread Room. We entered and discovered a very pretty room, but it was very cold. Once we were alone, we thought it might have been because it had been aired out during cleaning. We turned the heating up to the maximum setting of 24°C and went to the spa. We enjoyed ourselves, and when we returned to our room, it was FREEZING! We couldn't stay in it; it was so cold. The only heated room was the bathroom. I called reception, who told me it wasn't possible because the other rooms were heated. I asked her to come over. She confirmed the coldness and that the heater was blowing cold air. She said she would find "a solution" and come back. We went to warm up in the shower. Then we bundled up. The floor was particularly cold; it was impossible to be in socks or barefoot. The receptionist brought us a fan heater and told us she would check it during our meal. We went to eat. We had an aperitif, the wine pairing, and tea. We arrived in our room. It was 18-19 degrees Celsius. It was better, but the fan heater left a very unpleasant smell. We had no choice and slept like that. In the morning: migraine, nausea. The heater had completely knocked me out. We went to breakfast. The quality had declined recently. Less choice. We were disappointed. Upon our departure, when it came time to pay at reception, my partner received the bill. I noticed no gesture of goodwill. I took the liberty of informing the receptionist of our unfortunate experience. She wasn't even aware of it; there was no information provided about our problem. It wasn't taken into account by the staff. This was disappointing. She then offered us a gesture of goodwill: and this was the height of humiliation. A gesture of €15 on a total bill, including restaurant expenses, of almost €700. I don't think we have ever experienced such contempt from a hotel. And we travel extensively, staying in many starred establishments. We were very shocked and disappointed. This was our last stay at this hotel. I think that on a €495 package, the nightly rate doesn't amount to €15. A gesture of €150 would have been appropriate, considering that we had a room that was unusable and that the forced-air heating made us ill. In short, I no longer recommend this establishment.

26/01/2026: A superb stay! The room was spacious and the recently renovated relaxation/spa area was very pleasant. We were delighted by the excellent cuisine and impeccable service. Breakfast was also fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed it. A superb place to stay.

20/01/2026: We've been there several times already and we can't wait to go back. The food is perfect and the service is very pleasant.

07/11/2025: The restaurant's interior looks a bit old-fashioned, but also cozy. However, the service is incredibly unfriendly and incompetent. We were repeatedly asked if we wanted something to eat, but were immediately told that the waitress had to move on, so we never really got a chance to order anything because she was always gone again! We felt extremely uncomfortable; the customer's wishes were completely ignored, and towards the end, we were practically rushed out!
