24/03/2026: This restaurant had been highly recommended to us, and my sister goes there regularly to introduce it to her friends and family. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the French toast, which was touted as THE must-try dessert. After a 45-50 minute wait, we received a simple piece of brioche with a scoop of ice cream… without the promised caramel (apparently there had been a problem). A gesture of goodwill would have been the least they could do (offering them free or at least 50% off, especially since we had ordered four). On the other hand, the savory dishes were very good: the wine and the squid with chorizo ​​were excellent, even if the dish was quite spicy (perhaps a little too spicy).

We had Maison Charlie at the foot of our rental and the location cannot be beat!!!! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience! Highly recommend

23/03/2026: The owners are lovely. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and even had the chance to chat with the chef in the kitchen. The dishes are homemade, using excellent local produce. I think it's one of the best restaurants in the Old Port.

24/03/2026: We tried this place for breakfast and had a really nice experience. We ordered an omelette which was very good, and bread with jam. The bread was on another level, absolutely delicious. We also had coffee and fresh orange juice, both great. The staff were friendly and the service was smooth and efficient. Would definitely recommend for a simple but high quality breakfast in Marseille!

13/03/2026: The dean's role in table allocation remains a mystery. Twice we arrived at 1:30 pm on sunny days, and while tables were available, we were strongly advised to choose a table in the shade. After a lengthy negotiation and a heavy heart, a gentleman seated us in the sun, telling us the tables were reserved. We had lunch, and at 2:30 pm, the tables were still empty… Or rather, they were: a laughing young couple had taken two tables for four. A bit of a shame for a restaurant that isn't bad… And especially one that isn't the only one on the Old Port… So, if you're not a regular or a friend (the kind who gives 5 stars), steer clear. Quite disconcerting.

28/03/2026: A quick lunch break with colleagues... Our choice: Linguine and ravioli, and a hamburger. Excellent food and, above all, top-notch service from a very friendly young woman. We'll gladly be back!

19/04/2026: A warm welcome awaits you; from the moment you arrive, the tone is set and one of kindness is established. The new menu is delicious and generous, with a particular favorite being the octopus tentacles.

18/04/2026: Having been regulars at the Intercontinental brunch during Chef Lévy's tenure, these recent experiences, especially the Easter brunch, are nothing like the excellence we enjoyed before! With Chef Lévy's team, the experience was a spectacle! The service was impeccable, and the waitresses and waiters were perfect! From our second visit onwards, we had the same servers as the previous weeks, and they knew everyone's habits… they never left a table without still AND sparkling water (included in the price at the time). There were numerous stations… a classic breakfast station with pain au chocolat, croissants and other pastries, scrambled eggs, soft-boiled eggs, and poached eggs… a station for making risotto, a station for grilled lobster, a room dedicated solely to cheeses, gigantic Lego Technic constructions (Ferris wheels), an "Easter Trail"… the hostesses dedicated to the children were easily identifiable by their outfits, and the chef himself came out to greet the guests towards the end of brunch… children AND parents left with loads of goodies (Clarins collaboration) and their taste buds delighted by new flavor combinations, each more unusual than the last! This last brunch was good, but I will no longer consider it an exceptional experience. Obviously, this opinion doesn't represent everyone I know, as we've seen both versions. Today, we can see that costs have been "optimized," and the presence of a central island, a standard feature in any all-you-can-eat restaurant, confirms that this trend is here to stay. It's also more expensive than the previous versions! Another important point: all the parasols were open, with no way to close them, making it extremely cold and therefore unpleasant for those seated in the center. The atmosphere and overall quality were elevated thanks to the live singer who delivered an exceptional performance. His undeniable talent and superb repertoire were on full display!
