12/08/2026: A very good option for a small, traditional biscuit shop with good navettes (traditional boat-shaped biscuits), some other very good quality biscuits, and a young and dynamic team!

12/08/2026: We went to this shop to try the famous Marseille navettes. We chose the orange blossom flavored ones, which are the traditional ones. The quantity is based on the number of people you buy. The price is about €1 per navette. They also have other varieties of biscuits (canistrelli in different flavors), all homemade by a master craftsman (José Orsoni). The shop is quite small and is located on Rue Caisserie in the Panier district. I highly recommend it; the navettes are delicious.

07/08/2026: We only went there for a cocktail, but had a very good experience. The waiter was incredibly friendly and split our cocktail into two glasses for the same price. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and the cocktail was delicious.

27/07/2026: I won't say I've tried every Michelin-starred restaurant in the region, but having dined at a few, I can say they're consistently excellent. BUT, here there's what I call a little something extra, a story, a feeling in the dishes. As a fan of sauces and jus, I wasn't disappointed. Powerful reductions with bold flavors clearly reveal the chef's character and vision (the fish soup accompanying the red mullet and the squid stew jus are prime examples). A five-course meal that took us on a journey much further than we anticipated.

18/07/2026: The seafood dishes were flavorful and delicate. We also thoroughly enjoyed the cocktails, the wines recommended by the sommelier, and the exquisite desserts made from simple ingredients. The view, the decor, and the comfortable dining room all combine to offer a truly relaxing experience. The only slight drawback: the service was a touch reserved.

15/08/2026: First time in Marseille, we chose the restaurant on a whim, and we weren't disappointed at all. The owner gave us a warm welcome, the decor was lovely, the service was top-notch, attentive from beginning to end, and the food was simply wow. Thank you for this wonderful experience.

14/08/2026: My wife and I had a remarkable dinner at Le Relais 50 on a recent weekend getaway trip to Marseille. We each opted for the 4-course menu (one seafood, one lamb), with wine pairings, but with amuse bouche, palate cleanser, and extra sweet treats, it was really like 7 courses. The food was creative as well as delicious. The small bread balls made from yesterday's bread scraps and seasoned with Ras el Hanout were fantastic, as was the chef's take on shakshuka. (Most of the shakshuka I've had is more rustic, heavy on red peppers, and with whole eggs. His refined, green pepper-centric version with an egg yolk was sublime. As many reviews have noted, we saw a lot of the chef, who introduced every course tableside. His skill and passion comes through, adding to the feeling of hospitality. (We also learned of his Instagram feed and now follow him there.) Unfortunately we picked an extremely hot weekend to go so sitting on the terrace was not as comfortable as it could be (and the street noise was more than I expected). However, we still had an incredible dining experience and are sure to return on our next visit to the city.

11/05/2026: The restaurant is a small, family-run place with homemade-style food and a very “hands-on” feel. Portions are good and everything tastes fresh, but the space is quite modest and can feel cramped when it’s busy. Service is fine, more relaxed than formal.

23/08/2026: Good music. It has a large terrace, but it faces southwest, which means it's difficult to find shade after a certain time. They serve food, but it comes from an Italian restaurant next door. I ordered a cheese board hoping to get some French cheese, but it was Italian cured meats and salami—a disappointment.

05/07/2026: A true gem in Marseille! Cote Rue is undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in the city. The dishes are excellent, prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients and bursting with flavor. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and you immediately feel at ease. The service is top-notch. Whether you're looking to share tapas with friends or enjoy a lovely evening out, this is a must-visit. It's so good that you'll inevitably want to go back a second time over the weekend! I highly recommend it.

03/08/2026: Warm service, a magical location, and very satisfying food! Bistro Mimi offers a perfect setting for a family meal or a romantic dinner. We ordered an appetizer and two main courses. The mussels were excellent. Fresh, well-chosen, with a rich, flavorful marinara sauce. The other dishes were good, but nothing exceptional. We had come specifically for their famous aioli… unfortunately, they were out. The squid and the veal were good, nothing more, nothing less, although the latter was slightly overcooked. Nevertheless, if I ever have the chance to return, I will without hesitation! P.S.: The ice cream shop next door is exceptional.

08/05/2026: We had a wonderful time at this restaurant. We were able to have lunch on their terrace. Be sure to book in advance if you want to be seated there. The staff is very attentive, from the young woman serving us to the gentleman behind the bar who gives a very warm welcome. The meal was excellent, with delicious dishes. We've included photos. 05/08/2026: I would have preferred to leave a better review, but unfortunately, I wasn't given the chance. I came alone for dinner. Upon arrival, I stood and waited politely to be seated. A waiter replied, "I'll be right back, I'll ask my colleague." Five minutes later, I asked again where I could sit. I was told once more, "Wait, I'll check with my colleague." Meanwhile, two customers arrived and asked me if the restaurant was open. I told them it was. To my surprise, a few moments later, the waiter seated them immediately. I then went over to him and asked, "Since you've seated these customers, can I finally sit down?" He replied that it was a reservation. I pointed out that this wasn't possible, since these two customers had just arrived and had themselves asked me if the restaurant was open. At that point, the waiter seemed to lose his train of thought. He then went back to the kitchen to speak with his colleague. They exchanged a few words in hushed tones, then he returned to tell me that, ultimately, it wouldn't be possible to seat me. I can't say for sure why he refused, but I must admit that this difference in treatment made me deeply uncomfortable. I wondered if my appearance or my background might have played a role. I sincerely hope not, because that would be extremely serious. I had specifically stated that my meal would be quick. When I passed by the restaurant again at 10:25 p.m., the customers who had been seated just before me were still at their tables. It wouldn't have cost anything to allow me to eat quickly. This situation remains completely incomprehensible to me. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but this experience really disappointed me. It's a real shame.

05/08/2026: A must-visit on the port of Marseille! 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Flawless from start to finish! We had a wonderful time at "Restaurant Le Doyen". The place is particularly pleasant, very clean, and the air conditioning is a real plus, especially with the port's heat. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by a fantastic team of servers: professional, smiling, and attentive throughout the meal. As for the food, it's a delight! The avocado tataki is marvelous, the mussels are delicious, and their burgers are to die for. Everything was absolutely perfect and fresh. A truly wonderful place, just the way we like them, which I highly recommend! We will definitely be back. The Haute-Savoie team
