20/09/2024: Sorry in advance to be so harsh (and it's not my habit, you can easily verify that), but despite the excellent taste of the dishes thanks to the very high quality products used and the devotion of the staff, I cannot do the impasse on this story of a plate of cheese sold for €12 which offers a quantity that could be described as "not even enough to make a free sample". I'm not even sure there was 50g on the board, it would have been funny to have a scale... This feeling of having been ripped off destroys everything else, unfortunately, because I hate it. After kindly pointing this out to the staff at the end of the meal, they told me that this remark was very common, but the manager obviously ignored it. “You know, cheese is very expensive”: here yes, if we calculate roughly, that comes to €240/kg for the end customer, it is indeed very expensive. Customer Tip: Ask to see a sample board before ordering, and I defy you not to burst out laughing. Let's talk about prices, at the end, for: - 1 25cl beer - 1 kir - 2x glass of red wine from Roussillon - 2x beef tartare - a... "cheese plate" Total: €77

14/09/2024: Catastrophique, à fuir impérativement. Repas gâché par une cuisine innommable et un accueil irrespectueux de la clientèle . Seul point positif dans ce naufrage , un geste commercial sanctionnant la défaillance globale des prestations culinaires. De plus endroit anormalement bruyant qui n'a fait que concourir à une prestation indigne et surréaliste. N'y allez surtout pas .

04/09/2024: Superb restaurant that we had visited a few years ago and whose all-you-can-eat seafood and shellfish buffet amazed us with its freshness and offerings. Specialties from the region are also offered and are extra. In addition, the setting is magnificent and the room superb with a cathedral wall of wine bottles. Big disappointment, we learned of their upcoming closure for the retirement of the bosses and the nature of the new proposals from the buyers are aimed more at partygoers coming to drink than at customers wishing to spend a pleasant time with specialties from the region. Too bad but happy retirement to the bosses.

03/09/2024: Très cher pour manger des produits surgelés. C’est insipide. L’accueil est aussi agréable que la cuisine ! Très déçus, nous n’y retournerons pas.

17/09/2024: Good morning, I am currently giving 1 star because I was refused access to this bar because I had half of a taco which I ate quickly to avoid inconvenience. I understand the bar policy, however I drop a certain amount of money per week in this bar which is really nice, especially tonight, with a slash giraffe. I disagree with this opinion which I understand, so I would not return to this bar again.

19/07/2024: Unwelcoming staff, the cakes are visibly frozen and do not tempt you. My hot drink was barely lukewarm. I was told that there was oat milk only to inform me after payment that there was no more... Really not great

27/06/2024: Cold reception This is the first time I've come to a French Coffee Shop. I enter, I wait a bit, no welcome, no one looks at you, so you look around. I then head towards a very small room on the left. The tables are taken. I advance into a second, very small, cozy room. There was room. I sit down and wait for my order to be taken. Person. I get up and walk towards the person serving behind the counter. No smile. I wait for her to serve her customers and ask her if she can take my order. She replied to me, in an unpleasant tone and without a smile, that it was marked on the table that you had to take your order before going to sit down. We don't know it when we enter this café for the first time, it's not marked anywhere! Anyway, I order him a classic coffee, and a thimble is served to me! A shame for an exorbitant price! And the coffee isn't great. In addition, the connection does not work if you want to use your phone for an SMS, for example. I will not come back. I advise against.

16/08/2024: First we enter a bright and air-conditioned place, which is very pleasant for those who cannot stand terraces in high heat. The choice of dishes is limited but everything is fresh and entirely homemade. Difficult to make a choice in front of the dessert window... Claire and Julie are always ready to advise on their selection of teas, roibos, infusions or iced tea. A welcoming place where I like to come back every time I pass through Niort.

30/08/2024: Very often passing through Niort where I have a little base, it is always a pleasure to have lunch at the Sainte Marthe creperie. It's very good, unpretentious and the welcome is very pleasant! Excellent value for money.

21/09/2024: Warm and efficient welcome and service The dishes are really tasty, the frozen desserts are simple but delicious The pancakes, the ingredients of which you can choose from, are very generous (except for the dozen pine nuts...) On the other hand, those on the menu are not really filled and do not really satisfy A small downside: a little too much salt and sugar I particularly recommend the bottle of Carpe Diem prestige cider from Domaine de Kerveguen, a delight of sweetness and taste!

11/09/2024: Coming for lunch in August, we asked for an indoor table because my mother has eye problems. The waiter (in Bermuda shorts behind his apron.....it's a bit average for a so-called gastronomic establishment) will strongly insist that we have lunch on the terrace despite our explanations. We stay in the room and understand, since we are the only ones in the room, that it does not suit him (cleaning?). I had memories of the rococo restaurant...Ok the decor has been redone but in my opinion it's a hideaway, no soul with a view from our table of abandoned flower boxes. 22 euros for the lunch menu (starter - main course) for supposedly revisited deviled eggs (a hard-boiled egg cut into 4 on a salad...I would have preferred a real deviled egg in fact) then saithe (cheap fish ) ...... flavor wise no surprises, no Wow. Let's not talk about appetizers at aperitifs and coffee treats. I am a regular at another restaurant in Niort (closed at the time of my reservation) which for 24 euros offers starter, main course, dessert (delicious appetizers with the aperitif and good treats with coffee) in which I find products much more elaborate and so exquisite to taste! All the same, an extremely positive note for the sommelier who was particularly attentive, very professional and gave good advice. I hope that the manager of the establishment will take into account the Google reviews in order to "straighten the situation" and keep this legendary restaurant in Niort afloat.

10/09/2024: Family meal on a Sunday for my eldest's 10th birthday and communion. Staff attentive to our requests, whether for the decoration of the private room or for the development of the menu, including a very good cake for dessert! Aperitif in the large courtyard / park at the very pleasant entrance. Then meal in the private room in photo, we were 17 guests. Thanks to the whole team.

15/09/2024: Voilà, Tout est dit dans la note qui est largement méritée. Tout d'abord, pour un samedi midi, vers 12h, il est surprenant de voir que c'est le désert total. Après cela, nous nous rendons compte qu'il est nécessaire d'avoir un bac scientifique pour comprendre la méthode des menus. Il y a des étoiles partout sur ces menus, mais pas dans les assiettes, c'est sûr. Les entrées sont encore filmées. Les desserts (industriels) sont étalés sur des assiettes en carton (pratique et pas cher car pas de vaisselle). Vous voulez du pain, vous attendrez que le cuisinier vous le donne, après avoir fait la queue une première fois (enfin vu le monde, la queue est rapide). Vous voulez votre plat chaud, deuxième queue (enfin...) et chaud, c'est le vocable utilisé pour dire tiède. Un steak saignant = bien cuit avec des frites insipides. Vous voulez du sel, faut montrer patte blanche auprès du cuisto. Vous voulez de la moutarde, par de dosette en libre service, il faut passer par le même péage. Vous souhaitez manger de la langue de bœuf. Normalement, elle est présentée en tranche. Eh bien là, non. Elle est présentée à la méthode cantine, en émincé, comme si on voulait cacher ce qu'il y a dedans. Les haricots sont insipides également, avec goût de flotte. Bref, quand on regarde le visage des rares personnes autour de nous, on comprends que cet établissement aurait besoin d'être revu complètement. Je ne recommande pas du tout.
