05/09/2026: Beautiful spot by the church, so in the shade, which was very pleasant during the heatwave. The food is excellent and beautifully presented as well. The brothers are very hospitable and friendly. Highly recommended!

24/08/2026: A spontaneous lunch at this little inn at the foot of the church in Bussiere Badil. Excellent welcome and service, the set menu is excellent value for money. The cuisine is simple with a touch of originality, the seasoning is perfect, as are the cooking methods: - green salad, grilled zucchini, feta cheese - chicken marinated in ginger (just the right amount) - cheese tart and strawberry compote Only fresh ingredients, a real treat! An address to remember!

24/08/2026: Amazing experience! Hidden gem. On this small, local farm they offer an auberge and restaurant experience. Opening hours are not clear upfront, nor is the menu. Reservations are made by phone, after which you receive the menu options. We wanted to book for dinner, but they were fully booked. We switched to lunch instead, which was possible. The host was driving at the time and asked if he could get back to us within 30 minutes. Twenty minutes later we received a text message with the menu to choose from. We made our selections and confirmed the lunch reservation for the two of us and our two children (aged 6 and 7). Upon arrival there is parking available. The establishment is truly charming, with even a chicken wandering between the tables on the outdoor terrace. A friendly host welcomed us to our table, the aperitif de maison was served and the culinary explosion was about to begin. All dishes were flavourful, prepared with skill, care and a clear love for local produce. We had read that it was not suitable for children, but in our opinion that entirely depends on the children themselves. Our children enjoyed a special children's menu with rilette du canard, potatoes and chicken fillets. Great in taste, friendly hosts and good company for the parents. If your children only eat chips and nuggets, it is better to go somewhere else. After the amuse-bouche, starter and main course, we received a selection of farm cheeses and a tarte tatin for dessert. The children received a Magnum ice cream instead, which they absolutely loved. The price is fair and reasonable. The views of the farm and surrounding nature are wonderful, and we loved every corner of it. Many thanks to our hosts and chef! An absolute must for anyone who wants to spend time enjoying local dishes prepared with care and passion.

08/06/2026: This place is the best restaurant I've ever been to. I don't know about the rooms in this review, but from Paris, one can't help but wonder about the quality of French cuisine served in the capital... The outdoor setting was magnificent; we were protected from wasps attracted by the sweetness and delicious aromas. The Périgord quality, traditional to this region, should be a French example. I remember the amuse-bouches being exceptional, the foie gras delicious, and the main course delicious and generous, especially since we had a "surprise" apricot tart... I would go back every year if I could. I plan to return this year, alone or with friends... we'll see. But the Dordogne is the pinnacle of French gastronomy, and it's home-style cooking. The cuisine is rich, complete, nutritious, and delicious. Thank you for this memory, which is making me want to eat "home-style" food even from Paris. Gabriel
