28/06/2026: We booked the entire venue for a birthday party with about fifty people, and everything was PERFECT!
The service was impeccable, the staff friendly, smiling, and attentive to every need. We were able to organize some entertainment, the early evening cocktail reception outside was fantastic with the drinks bar and appetizers, and the meal was original, delicious, and beautifully presented. We have absolutely no complaints; thank you so much for the warm welcome! We all had a wonderful evening and have excellent memories of it, both of the restaurant and the recently opened hotel where some of our guests stayed.
We highly recommend it!

My wife's salad, quite generous, was also topped with fresh, local ingredients, just like the pizza.

24/06/2026: While the food and prices may seem perfectly satisfactory, the same cannot unfortunately be said for the chef's comments. Numerous inappropriate remarks, particularly sexist ones, bothered even the teenager sitting opposite me.
This establishment does have some undeniable qualities (a lovely interior, a terrace, welcome air conditioning during heatwaves, and homemade cuisine, despite the overcooked tagliatelle). It would benefit from improving its image with its clientele, particularly by increasing the chef's tolerance and consideration.

23/05/2026: I eat lunch there every time I'm in Romans. I love the setting, the atmosphere, and the food. For me, it's one of those places that embodies French culture.
Simple and delicious food. The service is always excellent. It's also a lovely spot for an aperitif on Friday evenings.
Unfortunately, places like this are becoming increasingly rare. Thank you!

07/05/2026: A delightful experience, both in terms of the food and the atmosphere. The dishes were colorful, well-seasoned, and creative. And the desserts were simply divine: a special mention for the brioche French toast with a hint of orange blossom. A true delight. I'll definitely be back!

However, the last time I went, the portions had been drastically reduced for each dish. The quality was fine, but I was disappointed by the smaller portions now, especially considering the price.

14/06/2026: We wanted to have a drink after the market on Sunday at 11:45 am... We either had to sit in chairs that were already full, or in the sunny spots. The shaded areas were reserved for meals. Given the heat, we left without ordering anything. There wasn't a soul around to eat... In short, it's a real shame to be so unfriendly! We won't be back.
24/05/2026: Very disappointed and a little angry. At 11:40 this Sunday morning, during the Pogne and Ravioli Festival, I ordered a freshly squeezed lemon. I made sure to ask if it was real. The result? I was brought what frankly looked like a glass of water with ice cubes… and a lemony aftertaste. So I'm quite certain I didn't receive a real freshly squeezed lemon. Next time, be honest. It's not a big deal, but at least we know what to expect.
(For your information, in every place where I ordered this drink, I was served a glass with only lemon juice and water on the side for me to pour myself, which only confirms my suspicions of dishonesty when ordering.)

12/02/2026: This afternoon, I was invited by the director of CIC for lunch—and what a pleasant surprise! Everything was flawless from start to finish. Special mention goes to the warm and attentive welcome, where children are treated just as well as adults.
As for the food, the burger was perfectly cooked, with impeccable temperature. I enjoyed a flavorful octopus that instantly transported me to Barcelona, while my host savored a tender and delicious pork spider steak.
All this in a chic and refined atmosphere, without being over the top, ideal for enjoying the moment. Wine lovers will definitely be in their element—this is a place worth a visit without hesitation.
And to finish, the desserts were simple in appearance… but absolutely wonderful. A truly wonderful experience that I highly recommend!

21/02/2026: Excellent experience at Le Chanoine restaurant! The food is simply incredible: flavorful, generous dishes prepared with great skill. You can taste the passion in every plate. A huge plus for the waitress, who is absolutely fantastic: smiling, attentive, and very professional, she makes the experience even more enjoyable. A must-visit in Romans-sur-Isère, where you'll definitely want to return again and again. Well done!
