16/05/2026: A truly excellent place, a warm and friendly welcome that lasted throughout the entire meal (even though we had a rather late reservation). The food was superb, with generous portions, and a great selection of local wines. It's also conveniently located near the Arena and has parking available! Le Comptoir de Begles has it all.
16/05/2026: This restaurant is absolutely amazing! I live nearby, and my friends and I go there all the time. The food is absolutely incredible! I even pack some leftovers to take home for late-night snacks. Plus, the service is fantastic, and the owner is incredibly welcoming! Highly recommended! You won't be disappointed.

20/03/2026: We had a wonderful evening at Mancicidor. The staff are very friendly and passionate; they know their products and wines extremely well, which isn't always the case. They even spontaneously created a delicious cocktail to pair with our dessert—original and a great success.

Well, I tried it...haha...here their beaks can be equipped with teeth...
I really enjoyed it.

17/05/2026: The atmosphere and menu still meet expectations.
However, there's a significant difference in the service.
It's hard to explain, but there's a feeling of unprofessionalism.
And above all, the Mojitos are definitely not to be missed. They're a complete disaster.
14/05/2026: We booked a table for four yesterday at 8:45 PM. We weren't served until 9:30 PM…
When our food arrived, we had to ask for bread and sauces, while other tables were treated differently.
The €16 shrimp salad was disappointing: bagged salad, four industrially breaded shrimp that weren't fresh.
We also ordered desserts, including a "hot cookie" that wasn't at all soft or warm; it was hard and dry. And remember, it cost €7.90! We also ordered two coffees that never arrived. At 10:30 PM, tired of waiting, we decided to leave and pay the bill. The person at the counter was unpleasant and didn't apologize for the coffees. For the price, we were disappointed: poor quality food, too loud, and unfriendly staff.
We won't be back.

14/05/2026: The portion was small, even though I ordered sweetbreads from the daily specials board for €25.90. It was good, but it could have been a bit more substantial.
As for dessert, I'm still waiting. The service was incredibly slow; it took 30 to 45 minutes to take my order and another 30 to 45 minutes to get dessert, which I never received.
10/05/2026: My wife, daughter, and I ordered 3 tartares today, Sunday (small portion, thankfully on one side), and the next day all three of us were sick with symptoms of food poisoning (not to go into details).

A bit of leftover, not-so-fresh bread from a neighboring table. Cooked arugula on the plate. The ribeye steak was of dubious quality, a real struggle to finish, accompanied by an overly salty peppercorn sauce. The best thing about it was the fries… FROZEN.
The prawn risotto looked nice, but the prawns were clearly undercooked.
The owner explained that he had recently changed meat suppliers and mentioned having previously worked for restaurants owned by chef Alain Ducasse. He also offered us a glass of wine, which was appreciated.
Despite this, given the prices, we expected more consistent quality.
Even the neighboring table asked for our opinion because they too were disappointed with the menus, especially the ribeye steak.
It's a shame because the setting is pleasant and there's potential.

18/09/2023: Restaurant more French than Portuguese, seafood rice, only frozen and an aftertaste of soup. A homemade dessert straight from the metro... Few customers in the restaurant on a Saturday lunchtime, don't worry why!
