01/08/2026: My wife and I spent a couple of days at this hotel in June, 2026. The room we stayed in was in a building back of the main tower. It was a fairly large room with a great shower and bathroom, fairly large twin beds, and had a TV where I could watch a few World Cup matches. It was very quiet at night, and had air conditioning if needed (we turned it on once or twice during the afternoon). The outside of the hotel is charming, and incorporates part of the old city wall. The breakfasts were first rate, and I liked the fact that they had an electric orange juice squeezer so that I could have a glass of fresh OJ each morning along with my two double espressos. It's a bit sad these days that all the hotels use espresso machines rather than make it the old fashion way with real espresso makers, but alas, progress marches on! The location is near the confluence of the Isle and Dordogne rivers, and an easy walk to various river cruises of so desired. It is also a short walk into the city square where there are several restaurants and a well-stocked supermarket. I would definitely stay here again!

17/06/2026: I booked a room with a balcony and the view of the river is very nice, as is the location. The hotel is clean and the staff are lovely.

01/09/2026: The three of us came to eat last night and we got food poisoning, even though the food was good and the service was very good. I hope other customers didn't have the same disappointing experience.

27/08/2026: The food was really mid, we only got two things and we waited for a half an hour even tho the restaurant was almost empty. One of the servers a young girl looked super annoyed.

21/10/2026: From the welcome to the presentation of the food, everything is perfect! The staff is warm and attentive, and the set menus are very affordable. The icing on the cake: everything is absolutely delicious. A place where you can eat very well indeed!

The owner has a very old-fashioned charm, the service is respectful, and she clearly takes pleasure in satisfying her customers. Well done, Madam! Best wishes to you and your son.
