Honestly, the welcome was fantastic, the owner is super friendly and attentive to customers.
As for the food, my 10-year-old son even managed to eat their andouillette sausage, which tells you how delicious it must have been.
So, to sum it up:
For the price, it's practically the best traditional cuisine you can find in the area.
A real treat, the price reflects the quality of the food, and we left with wonderful memories.
In short, I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation. From the welcome to the meal, from the aperitif to the dessert, there was nothing to criticize. Everything was simple, delicious, and efficient.
When we're back in the area, we'll know exactly where to eat.
Thank you for everything; it was truly enjoyable in every way.

04/08/2026: Very unwelcoming and unfriendly. Solo diners are not welcome. I sat at a table on the terrace, there were only two other diners there. I waited 10 minutes and eventually a waitress came and told me that the tables are only for diners, I explained that I was hoping to have lunch, she asked if I was on my own, when I said that I was she said she would have to check with the manager. I left at that point as I was made to feel very unwelcome. There are other lovely restaurants in La Roche that don’t have a negative attitude and welcome customers - even if they are on their own. Avoid!

What a difference a year makes! New management that is welcoming and friendly. Really enjoyed my delicious lunch here!
22/07/2026: Nice little brasserie, lovely outdoor terrace, fast, efficient, and friendly service. Very good brasserie-style food (with a special mention for the gourmet coffee), and the price is right too.

17/04/2026: We finally had dinner at Julien's after his injury, and nothing has changed since the last time! He welcomed us warmly, and his food is exquisite. It has the quality of a gourmet restaurant, but with the portions of a family-friendly establishment.
Julien is also incredibly friendly and made our evening unforgettable. We can't wait to return.
12/04/2026: So glad to have Julien back in the kitchen after his little accident! His food is as delicious as ever and the service is impeccable. The restaurant has retained its atmosphere and authenticity. We'll be back!

19/08/2026: Fantastic! Great time! Excellent service! Amazing dishes: well-prepared and beautifully presented! I highly recommend it! The salmon escalope, duck breast, chocolate mousse, crème brûlée, and dessert from the gourmet menu were all delicious! Everything was great! Excellent!!

25/08/2024: Accueil sympathique, un peu d’attente car beaucoup de monde, mais la qualité des burger est vraiment très bonne ( même si un peu plus de sel n’aurait pas été de trop). Ils ne cède pas à la rentabilité pour conserver une bonne qualité de réalisation.
