16/08/2024: The food is excellent, everything is homemade. The fries have a really nice Belgian taste. It seems that the desserts are good unfortunately we ran out of room! Very welcoming boss To do!!!!!

12/08/2024: Great welcome, I would have given it 5 if the burger bread was less toasted and the fries less salty. It's not cheap but it's good, the desserts are homemade and it's very good!

21/08/2024: Pizzas excellentes ainsi que les lasagnes du menu enfant. Petit établissement (penser à réserver si vous voulez vous régler 😉) qui n'accepte pas la carte bancaire mais les espèces, les tickets restaurants et les chèques bancaires. Patronne et serveuse très sympathiques. Je recommande et reviendrai.

17/08/2024: Bad experience in this pizzeria where at first there was a hesitation to welcome us. Then the boss told us not to take the credit card. What we were hesitant about was the manager's response: you just have to go to Indiana and they will make you food and take the credit card. We decided to leave. I don't know if the pizzas are good but the welcome is not the best.

09/04/2024: The best fondues in the resort! You have a wide choice of fondues, between classic and original, there is something for everyone. After having tested many of them, they are all very good, truffles and porcini mushrooms still stand out from the rest. The staff is very friendly and the service efficient. Beautiful, warm hostel!

28/08/2024: We were there in June and decided to return. Everything is perfect, the quality of the dishes, the service, the warm atmosphere. The person who takes the orders and takes care of the service bends over backwards for his customers. It is very appreciated. For those who want to eat something other than cheese-based specialties, I recommend poultry cooked at low temperatures. A delight.

26/08/2024: A big plus for the appetizer which was hummus. Bravo for the initiative. Be careful with the other dishes, however: the pasta had no taste and was overcooked while the chocolate cake was overcooked inside. The service was good otherwise.

23/04/2024: Went for lunch in la Fruitière. Had to send the baby pork back not once, but twice (!) because it was undercooked, even still bloody. Instead of starting the dish from scratch, the meat got grilled until burned black . No problem with the staff, who were very friendly. But the manager on shift did a poor job, didn’t even come out to apologise or offer a coffee for the inconvenience. With prices at this level I expect more. I can only conclude that it happens more often if you can’t be bothered to make an effort as a restaurant manager. We spent the 2 days before enjoying the apres ski at la folie douce and I was looking forward to the lunch. It’s a shame it didn’t go as planned. *reply to the reply below: as far as I know pork should never be bloody. I’ve eten plenty of farm raised pork, and it’s never bloody. Proofed my point though: instead of accepting the food was far from ok, we get some kind of explanation as if I don’t know what I’m talking about.

21/04/2024: I found this place completely unusual, so yes it is April, but this experience traumatized me. I forgot to say hello in this message because sociability and politeness were not there. In addition to all this unacceptable scene, the 20 centiliter Corona was 8 euros including tax, it's a steal. My female friend had a cookie, very dry, without flavor or joy, for the price of 6 euros excluding tax, always served without a smile. PS: I found myself off-piste, because Waze didn't even pick up these pitiful tracks. Sincerely

18/08/2024: Got terrible service. The people speaking English in front of us were given a table without a reservation. I asked for a table and the service staff said no. The French people behind us without a reservation were seated. I double checked and again and they said no. We walked back past (after having an excellent meal elsewhere) and the same server recognised us and pulled the door shut in my face. I have travelled extensively and never had such rude and obnoxious service. Put a dampener on our whole trip and totally ruined my impression of French service. Would not recommend. Negative 5 stars for terrible and non-welcoming service…

18/08/2024: Catastrophic! One star for the waiter, however, at €22 for a burger, we say we're in for a treat. To summarize, uncooked frozen fries, burger not at all presentable and tasteless, certainly poor quality products. Worse than McDonald's to flee.

30/03/2024: Good price for the ski menu. Unfortunately at the end of the season, many dishes and desserts are out of stock. The salad is very basic.

15/08/2024: Joli décoration montagnarde. Tous.les plats sont excellents et copieux. Les desserts sont à tomber ! L.accueil est sympathique. Le restaurant dispose d'une terrasse fort agréable l'été.

24/05/2024: The sporting is a high end bar / restaurant. The drinks were fantastic but the food was expensive for what it was worth. We ordered deer with potatoes and chestnuts, it came in a big pot, the meat was warm but not hot, we struggled to actually find the chestnuts. This said the ambiance and decor reminded us of a british hunting club and there was live music. The bar was good but the restaurant needs to relook their prices.

09/04/2024: Pas très commerçants... Ça fait 30 ans que nous venons à l'Alpe d'huez et que nous connaissons bon nombre de restaurants dont le Sporting qui vient de changer de proprietaire. Quand on veut monter en gamme un des endroits emblématiques de l'Alpe il ne faut pas se cantonner à refaire la déco... Si on veut déjeuner tardivement à l'extérieur (14 heures) c'est trop tard...cuisines fermées! Si on veut prendre un verre à 18h30 à l'intérieur (en Février) c'est trop tard les tables sont posées et le bar inaccessible ! Un bar restaurant soit disant branché...pas très tolérants pas du tout commerçant . Petit conseil révisez votre copie pour la prochaine saison car a trop vouloir offrir des horaires strictes sur les before ski les after ski les ceci les cela rien n'est souple et détendu comme devrait être un établissement pour des vacanciers en quête d'un bel endroit!
