24/08/2026: Honestly, this restaurant was really bad. I ordered the €37 set menu, and I think it's way too expensive for what it is. I ordered frog legs: they were really small, tasteless, and completely unseasoned. When we ordered, they didn't even ask if we wanted the side dish. Once we'd finished our meal, we asked the waitress why we hadn't received it. She told us they give it to us afterward because "it makes your fingers dirty." 🤔 Except that behind us, other customers were getting their frog legs with their side dish right away... So, normally, a side dish is meant to accompany the main course, not to be served afterward! In the end, we didn't even order the side dish. As for the children's menu, let's not even go there... The steak was so tough it felt like a shoe sole. The Coke was served in a glass and it was completely flat. Honestly, they really need to rethink the frog leg recipe, because even the seasoning was completely lacking. Just a 30-minute drive away, there's an inn that makes much better frog legs. Personally, I definitely don't recommend this restaurant. Given the price, I clearly expected much better.

23/08/2026: Hello, We ate at Le Chêne yesterday, A little disappointed... Indeed, the frogs' legs were a bit small, some were really overcooked, and they certainly forgot to add salt during cooking (that's not so bad, we can add it later to our liking 😉). And no vegetables were served with the frogs' legs... that's a shame... Some fries, beans, or a gratin would have been nice, but nothing... The dry cheese was very good and the starter was decent, no complaints there. The ice cream scoops were a bit unusual: the chocolate was very sweet and the pistachio was rather bland and less prominent in the bowl... a shame. Perhaps this is a combination to avoid, as the chocolate flavor was too strong; maybe you should just order two scoops of pistachio on their own 😉. The set menu was €29 nonetheless. The restaurant and staff were pleasant.
