18/07/2026: We were looking for an exceptional menu to celebrate our anniversary, and we stumbled upon Le Prieuré quite by chance on a Tuesday evening... We were warmly welcomed by a young apprentice waiter who made us feel at ease and was attentive throughout the evening. We opted for the signature menu with wine pairings! What a delight! The portions were perfectly balanced, allowing us to savor each course. The dishes were subtly prepared, and the flavors were beautifully conceived, thoughtful, and beautifully presented. We, along with the other tables, had the pleasure of having some of the dishes presented directly by the chef. ...Chance turned into good fortune! We will definitely be back!

17/07/2026: 👑 A culinary journey to the Roanne region, visiting the Reure family, owners of this beautiful restaurant nestled in the heart of the village of St Alban les Eaux: Le Petit Prince. 👑 It's a fine and renowned restaurant that we'd been wanting to try for a long time. So we finally got to enjoy my birthday/Christmas present! 👑 In a magnificent former wine cellar, blending modern amenities with old stone walls, we were welcomed by professional and attentive staff. We were presented with the "Cesar" tasting menu and its wine pairings. 👑 A major culinary highlight for GG and me: undoubtedly the best restaurant we've been to so far. Everything was perfect: the balance on the palate was superb. Each flavor bursts forth, and we were surprised by bold yet always successful combinations. The wine was magnificent and chosen with passion by the sommelier. In the kitchen, youth is showcasing its talent, with Quentin Billaud at the helm of a brigade of nine chefs. I think they could all be my children, they're so young! A talent brimming with freshness and passion!

The surprising combinations, where each ingredient had its perfect place, delighted our taste buds. We wanted more... Since the menu changes monthly, we made a reservation on our way out to introduce this place to friends.

The cuisine is full of surprises, from the amuse-bouche to the dessert. The sweetbreads are wonderful. The wine list is impressive. The only slight drawback is the road noise when eating on the terrace.

However, we were disappointed by the flavors, which were too mild, not pronounced enough, and sometimes even bland. The seasoning wasn't up to par and fell short of the restaurant's stated ambitions.

Everything is excellent: the setting (both inside and outside under the trees), the attentive and caring waiters, the inventive and gourmet cuisine with its many flavor combinations, and the unbeatable value for money. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, the setting elegant and well-decorated. The price was very reasonable. I didn't have to wait long before being seated. The establishment was very clean.

Colin's warm welcome, his humor, and the quality of the service all contributed to creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. As for the food, it was a true delight from start to finish, from the salmon tartare to the dessert. I'll definitely be back!
