17/05/2026: Passing through the region with friends. A restaurant with cold colors, reflecting the owner's personality, I suppose. We had a reservation for 13 on Ascension Thursday. We arrived at 11:54 am and the owner told us curtly, without a smile, that service didn't start until noon and that we had to wait outside on the terrace. Then, at 11:57 am, she opened the door to tell us to come in and went to the kitchen, sighing. We had to ask for an aperitif. The set menu, while fine for adults, was difficult for a teenager, so she only had one starter: a charcuterie platter, as there were no changes. Otherwise, it was either potato salad with herring or breaded pig's trotters. For the main course, there was cassoulet, daube, or andouillette sausage. On the plus side, the food is homemade and excellent. For me, the pig's trotters were amazing, and the cassoulet was also delicious. For my friends, the rest was also excellent. The homemade desserts were very good, and the service is good when the cooks come by, certainly the owner and another smiling lady. I saw the comments, and indeed, if you're not used to it, the welcome is just okay. The owner was sick with a lung problem. But hey, a smile 🙂 I hope the owner will take the feedback into account and do some self-reflection. I was a waitress for 20 years, and a smile is definitely essential.

But the way the owner of this establishment responds to even slightly critical reviews has definitively dissuaded me from going. Even if the food is good, I would never set foot in the establishment of an arrogant and argumentative owner who criticizes his customers for not complaining "to their faces"!

11/04/2026: I was there with the friend who posted the previous review on Saturday, March 21st, and I unfortunately confirm this deplorable experience. Beyond the cleanliness of the table, it was the waiter's behavior that was particularly shocking: we were greeted with unjustified verbal aggression, and this in front of a 4-year-old child. Such a lack of professionalism and courtesy is unacceptable in the restaurant industry. It's regrettable to see that the establishment seems to neglect its local clientele. My in-laws had already been treated very poorly in the past and ended up avoiding the place. It's a shame, because a business can't rely solely on tourist traffic to maintain its reputation. We won't be returning.

15/05/2026: So, crescendo Cahors, the cuisine is very sophisticated, and above all, the service is not very attentive, or even nonexistent. There are many choices available. The atmosphere is decent, you feel welcomed, but OK, there's a long wait.

21/01/2026: This is definitely the best restaurant I ve been after 2 months in a long trip visiting the family of my partner!. The waiter was very nice and explain us the full menu. You you are a foreigner, on search for a different burger le montagnard is the best choice!.

21/01/2026: A great little gem to keep in mind! First time here and we'll definitely be back! The service and staff were very friendly. The dishes are absolutely delicious and the desserts (especially the crème brûlée) are irresistible! For the daily special, be sure to arrive before 1 p.m., otherwise it won't be available... Plus, the prices are very reasonable, which is a real treat these days! Thank you!
