20/05/2026: A delightful discovery. We thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. Special mention for the scallops with angel hair pasta. They were absolutely divine. Well done! We returned two years later, and it was still just as good. We had another delicious meal in the playground, under the covered area because of a downpour. We'll definitely be back if we're ever in the area again.

26/05/2026: Good food, but there's room for improvement given the expectations. The asparagus was stringy, the veal too pink and therefore not tender, and the chocolate cake too dense. But the ristretto was really good!

22/05/2026: It's a very friendly restaurant, serving delicious local dishes from the North of France, and of course other excellent options. The welcome is exceptional, with a great sense of humor. If you're passing through Vayrac, I highly recommend it.

18/05/2026: A fantastic weekend spent in a super spacious and very comfortable apartment, a wonderfully warm welcome, and superb cuisine just the way we like it: hearty and delicious. Whether it was the northern specialties like the Flemish carbonnade (which was amazing) or the Welsh rarebit, or the excellent pizzas, this is definitely an address to keep in your notebook. 01/05/2026: Excellent place. Everything is prepared with care and is delicious. A complete set menu is available for €24.50, or you can choose from a wider selection à la carte for €35. Real good food and a very pleasant shaded terrace. The service is efficient, but book ahead and arrive early as it fills up quickly.

08/05/2026: We stumbled upon it by chance while coming to Douelle for a wedding. After a disappointing experience with Booking.com, we were finally able to find somewhere to stay, eat, and relax. The inn has a bit of a history, but it retains that charm that makes it so appealing. Malique, your wife, Claude, and the team, thank you for being there that evening. Your kindness, friendliness, and excellent service truly made our three-night stay special. I hope to run into you again someday, even just to share a drink. Go there without hesitation; I love this place!

17/05/2026: Passing through the region with friends. A restaurant with cold colors, reflecting the owner's personality, I suppose. We had a reservation for 13 on Ascension Thursday. We arrived at 11:54 am and the owner told us curtly, without a smile, that service didn't start until noon and that we had to wait outside on the terrace. Then, at 11:57 am, she opened the door to tell us to come in and went to the kitchen, sighing. We had to ask for an aperitif. The set menu, while fine for adults, was difficult for a teenager, so she only had one starter: a charcuterie platter, as there were no changes. Otherwise, it was either potato salad with herring or breaded pig's trotters. For the main course, there was cassoulet, daube, or andouillette sausage. On the plus side, the food is homemade and excellent. For me, the pig's trotters were amazing, and the cassoulet was also delicious. For my friends, the rest was also excellent. The homemade desserts were very good, and the service is good when the cooks come by, certainly the owner and another smiling lady. I saw the comments, and indeed, if you're not used to it, the welcome is just okay. The owner was sick with a lung problem. But hey, a smile 🙂 I hope the owner will take the feedback into account and do some self-reflection. I was a waitress for 20 years, and a smile is definitely essential.
