03/09/2026: After 9 p.m., without a reservation, it was difficult to find a restaurant in Avranches that would serve us. After several attempts, a young woman warmly welcomed us to Bistro de Pierre. The food was excellent, with guaranteed freshness. My companion ordered a generous portion of fisherman's salad. If we're ever back in Avranches, we'll definitely stop there. A nice touch: cloth tablecloths and napkins. Best wishes for the end of the season to the whole team... Maryline

09/09/2026: We ended up there by chance. Unfortunately, we had coffee and cake quite late. So we only had a main course and coffee. We (4 people) had a delicious meal there. Additionally, the service is very friendly and patient. After all, we hardly speak any French. Highly recommended!

16/09/2026: Very disappointed with my trip. Room 23 was dark and the cleaning was subpar. At breakfast, there were no tables available, which didn't seem to bother the receptionist, who clearly isn't customer-oriented... she complained about being overwhelmed. In short, they need to go back to the drawing board.

13/09/2026: We were satisfied; the room was available at short notice, it was very quiet at night, the room was fine, and the breakfast was adequate. It's worth noting that you can order items like croissants at breakfast; not everything is available at the buffet.

25/06/2026: We ordered two beef tartares. We were brought an empty salt mill, a jar with two small packets of ketchup, and an empty Worcestershire sauce container. When we pointed this out, we were simply told they were out, without any suggestion or apology. Several servers then asked if we wanted them to go and get more, rolling their eyes whenever we had the misfortune to say yes. This struck us as odd: it shouldn't be the customer's responsibility to ensure the ingredients for a dish are available. A waitress was eventually sent to a nearby convenience store but returned without having found any sauce. When it was suggested that we look for another option, perhaps at a nearby shop, no real search was undertaken and no apology was offered. Unfortunately, the situation worsened when we explained that we didn't want to eat our tartare under these conditions. Instead of a courteous exchange, we were met with unpleasant remarks and a defensive attitude. The waitress explained that she herself ate her steak tartare without Worcestershire sauce, that in her opinion, this sauce played no particular role in terms of hygiene, that it served only to add flavor, and that many restaurants prepared their tartares without it. When we expressed a different opinion, she replied that we weren't going to "teach her how she does her job." The final straw came when we explained that we found it regrettable to be treated as demanding, even rude, customers when we were simply asking for a solution to a problem for which we weren't responsible. Her response was: "Well, you are!" Beyond the lack of sauce, it was primarily the lack of professionalism, the absence of apologies, the refusal to find a solution, and the tone used that deeply disappointed us. Finally, there was no gesture of goodwill or apology when it came time to pay the bill, just the card reader thrust in front of us at full price. If the job of a waiter consists of contradicting the customer, refusing to question anything, and disrespecting them when they express legitimate dissatisfaction, then we certainly aren't going to teach you how to do your job. However, if this job involves courtesy, a sense of service, and respect for the customer, then clearly there are a few reminders to be made. An experience we will not be repeating.
